Love Peter May! Have never read Ann Cleeves yet. Someday. I love the TV series Shetland made from her books though!

Julie: I loved Wild Places when I read it and was almost inspired to recreate some of MacFarlane's walks except he's much tougher than me!!
If you haven't already read it, I can also highly recommend The Old Ways, another of his books which I think is fascinating.

yes, we are retiring Nov. 30th and going to Tennessee to live. Milder winters, lower taxes and beautiful Smoky Mountains! My mom's family was from there, although no one is still alive.

We have two grands and they are 4 1/2 hrs away now. Will be 7 hrs when we move. Not too much more.
