I don't know if that's going to happen for me... But I'm a huge Walter Scott fan, and I'm re-reading Waverly now, in honour of the 200th anniv.
Is there any Waverly read in progress? Or Walter Scott threads in Goodreads Scotland groups?

Sorry I'm so helpless. I've been looking, but sometimes can't find things in Goodreads.

Yes, you've signed up for 1-4 books for the year of 2015. Surely you'll read 1 Scot book in that year! There is not any read alongs in progress , but not sure about other places on Goodreads. You could start one if you can get anyone to join you though! How far along are you in Waverly? Read slow and finish it in January and count it for this challenge! I'll look around and see if there are any group reads happening anywhere and let you know if I find anything. Welcome to the challenge.

Glad your giving it another try, Joy!

where young Waverley (as I guess I should spell it) first arrives in the Highland stronghold of the McIvors.
I get very little time to devote to the fiction I love. So it'll surely count for 2015.

Welcome Margaret!
Welcome Margaret!

Sorry to say that I am Scottish (mid east-coaster) and I've really not read that many Scottish set books or Scottish authors but it's about time I changed that.
I'm sticking to 4 books right now because I have so much on my tbr list!
I would really love some recommendations :)

Welcome Sammy! If you want to stop over at my blog where the challenge originated I have links to book lists and if you click on the two page tabs at the top we have review link pages from last year and this years challenge. You can read reviews by participants there and maybe find some. Here's the link to my blog page. http://peggyannspost.blogspot.co.uk/2.... What is your favourite genre to read?
I am actually visiting in the Mid East coast of Scotland right now! In Fife. Going home on Tues. you have a lovely country and wonderful people!

Thanks for the welcome, I'll go and have a look at the reviews. My favourite genre is supernatural/fantasy type historical fiction but I'll try anything.
Hope you're liking Fife! I live over in Carnoustie so really not too far from where you've been.
