Il clamore suscitato intorno al romanzo "Infinite Jest" non smetteva. L'autore "David Foster Wallace", aveva scritto altri romanzi nel frattempo, alcuni molto apprezzati, ma la sua figura restava identificata con quel memorabile inizio, una voce apparsa unica e inconfondibile dalla prima nota, al punto da avvolgere in un'aura mitica anche l'esistenza di chi ha ricevuto il libro in dono.

The hype about the "Infinite Jest" novel did not stop. The author "David Foster Wallace" had written other novels in the meantime, some highly appreciated, but his figure remained identified with that memorable beginning, a voice that appeared unique and unmistakable from the first note, to the point of enveloping it in a mythical aura also the existence of those who received the book as a gift.

Io sono circa al 30%, è faticoso a volte lo amo altre lo odio.

Ciao Je. Io ho letto e recensito "Infinite Jest" by David foster Wallace. Al centro della storia c'è la provincia straniante e depressiva del suo romanzo, magnifico anche se un tantino intransigente, e non solo per la lunghezza. Il mondo nel punto in cui scivola silenzioso nel niente portandosi dietro con estrema lentezza i poveri relitti umani aggrappati alla sua superficie.
Le università americane, come l'ETA sono ancora un luogo di confronto sui diritti civili, le guerre, la libertà di espressione? O sono <> lontane dall'America vera?

At the center of the story is the alienating and depressive province of his novel, magnificent though a little uncompromising, and not only for its length. The world where it slips silently into nothing, taking the poor human wrecks clinging to its surface with extreme slowness.
