Quiz #99, British! A leading lady of the 30s. Though famed more for stage than screen, she appears in 40+ pictures beginning in 1914 all the way to the late 1960s. Several of them, we know well around here.

I was mighty curious to see who would nab Clyde Cook. Thought it would be more of a stumper. But what a mug that guy has
What amazes me is how big some of these stars were and now they're barely known even to most classic movie buffs like ourselves
Comer was in a long, long, long-standing British beer commercial. Numerous TV programs. As well as, "the Return of Dr. Phibias" with everyone's fave scenery-eater, Vincent Price. He was in "Battle of Britain" and several other lurid Brit romps. Good win there for Betsy.
extra image for #99. As cinema matured (1940s, 1950s) of course she played grande dames and dowagers because by then she was not a filly anymore. She had made her film debut in 1911. But you can see from younger photos that her classic features certainly didn't hurt her when it came to the Shakespearian stage. And of course she had the talent.

Yes! Good score there!
Fay Compton, sister of the famous author; known for her diverse repertoire of stage roles. She played Ophelia to Gielgud's 'Hamlet' in the 1930s.
Well done.

Now, how about another picture of the Ken Murray look-alike which I will tackle tomorrow. Thanks, Feliks.
Nothing doing! #101 is a very famous all-American star, which you ought to discover by the process of deduction. So you must dangle a little longer on that one before I give rein to any pity.
I will offer this: he is not known for making very many movies about 'firemen'. This picture is probably the least one out there, which I might have ever chosen to indicate his illustrious career.
