Samantha I am sure you are at work right now but, when you have a moment can you help Michelle out with this Non-Fiction question?
Michelle as she is also our resident Librarian I am sure she will have the proper answer for you!

That's a great game, Cleo.

I never had two to three hours a day to read to each of my kids (I was reading to three of them, but never at the same time for various reasons.) Cleo and I met online during those years because we were both homeschooling.

Back then I could get picture books in plastic bags that included cassette recordings with sounds every time a page should be turned (cassettes were on their way out, but still around at the library and even in stores when my girls were tiny) that came with picture books included so they could sit and listen themselves (they loved to do this) when I was doing other things which upped the time. Not sure how that's done now that even CDs are on their way out.

Anisha Inkspill (anishainkspill) | 412 comments hi Rosemarie - is it ok to start a thread in https://www.goodreads.com/topic/group... for a book game

anyway, my question is, is it ok to start these thread(s)?

Hi, Anisha. Neither of your links worked, but you can message Lesle, who is the main moderator, about both your questions. New games are always fun.

Yes, especially since my dad knew Cleo's grandparents; I was born and raised in the same general area where they lived, and the population was small back then.

Melanie Anton | 527 comments Rosemarie, you mentioned that you usually have an Italian dessert for Christmas Eve dinner. I know that Toronto has a large Italian community. Do they have an influence on your food and culture?

I love pasta! Most of the Italians have moved to bigger houses in the suburbs, but we still have a large Greek community in the east end where I live. There is also a large Muslim community in the east end as well, but also people from all over.
Toronto is one of the most multi-cultural cities in the world. And you can get food from just about every part of the world here too.
One of my favourite Italian Christmas treats is Panettone.
It's much easier to get Italian and Greek treats, since most of those of German background settled in the west end of the city, and Toronto is really spread out.

It's best to ask Lesle before you start any threads.
