Jamie | 4 comments Read this book in the early to mid '70s. Probably a Sci fi book club book. About a wizard (female) that changes/modifies/creates weather for entertainment. Seems like it was set in the US plains. Looking for help on the author and title. Must have loaned/given it away.

Andy | 2124 comments This is probably John Varley's "The Phantom of Kansas" which has a simulated Kansas environment on the moon, where a woman designs weather effects to entertain visitors. The story is collected in several books (see list of places it's been collected here http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/title.cg...)
