Kassandra | -1 comments Thank you Iasa! I actually found a couple each letter that I would like to read on that list.

Melissa, you're right. This group is so supportive. Thank you!

Kassandra | -1 comments Finished The Notebook today and it marks the first of my "haunted by the unread"!

Haha! Good for you. I kinda gave up on mine.

message 54: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments No, you can't give up! It's only Feb and there is lots of time left to un-haunt yourself.

Groan.

message 56: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments You can do it, we are here to support you.

message 57: by Alessandra (new)

Alessandra (chibisuke) | 266 comments Congrats on reading the first of your "haunted by the unread" book, Kassandra! :D
btw: Your thread is so structured I'm kind of jealous.

Don't give up, Renee! As Kassandra said: We are here to support you! You can do it!

message 58: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Thanks Alessandra! I wasn't nearly as structured last year and I always felt like I was missing out on updates or having to spend too much time making updates with every book I finished so I changed it up this year. It's saving me time and keeping me organized and now I have more time to spend checking out what everyone else is up to. Congrats on your amazing progress so far this year!

message 59: by Kassandra (last edited Feb 23, 2015 07:58AM) (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Woot! I finished my second book from my TBR clean up pile. I'm finally making some traction. Once the Feb genre challenge is over, I'll be able to continue with some more progress.

message 60: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments 3 days left to go in the month and I have read all of my planned reads so far except for one. I've never done this well before so I'm really going to push myself to read this book...even though I had my eye on another book. The Lucky One, here I come!

message 61: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments I'm going to make note of this because it will likely never happen again (!) but I finished ALL of my planned books for Feb. Yay!

Overbooked ✎ (kiwi_fruit) | 800 comments Congrats Kassandra, well done!

message 63: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Thank you Iasa and Kiwi!

message 64: by Camille (new)

Camille (camillesbookishadventures) Well done!

Renee M | 4789 comments Mod
So jealous! I never foresee that happening to me, I'm too ADD by far.

message 66: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments It has never happened to me before Renee, I don't normally stick to more than one or two planned before something else catches my attention. I'm tempted to make a plaque or something for myself just as proof that it actually happened!

message 67: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) I read all my February books too Kassandra and didn't read many plus two were children's picture books.

message 68: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments Job well done, Kassandra! Woot! Woot! I think I managed to read mine for once too. :D To bad Goodreads didn't have badges that Moderators could hand out.

message 69: by Renee, Mistress of the Mini-Challenge (new)

Renee M | 4789 comments Mod
Great job, Amber. Even if you think your list was small, you stuck to the plan and accomplished!

Melissa-
It would be so cool if we could get little badges that stuck to our profiles!

message 70: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments Renee, I love that idea, who do you talk to! :D

message 71: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments I love that idea! We definitely need a badge to commemorate sticking to the plan.

Great job in getting through your books Amber.

message 72: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) Thanks Renee.

message 73: by Amber (new)

Amber (amberterminatorofgoodreads) and Thanks Kassandra. :)

message 74: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Slow progress so far this month...there is a lot going on and even though I've had time to read, I just haven't had the focus. Hopefully the rest of the month will turn that around!

message 75: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments I'm having a slow beginning, also, maybe we will come running in the finish line with dance and a jig! :D

message 76: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Love your optimism Melissa! Here's to celebrating with a jig with you soon.

message 77: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments Cheers!

message 78: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments I finally finished The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie today, after months of trying to get through it. I really wanted to like this one as lots of people that I know love it, but I just could not get into it.

message 79: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments April isn't turning out to be much more of a productive month for reading than March was. I'm hoping the readathon will turn that around for me later this month.

My lone April read was a great one - Preston & Child have delivered again!

message 80: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments I finally finished another book today and it marks my completion of my Pinterest challenge. Woot! I'm going to go for the bonus points this month and look for my next book with at least 5 words in the title.

April's not turning out well for me either. Hoping later this month turns it around.

Kassandra | -1 comments May means a whole new BINGO challenge - yay! I'm slowly coming out of my reading slump so I'm hoping to make some good progress this month and dig myself out of my backlog - my widget says I'm 6 behind. EEEK!

message 85: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments I think the Bingo Challenge will boost you out of the slump!

message 86: by Renee, Mistress of the Mini-Challenge (new)

Renee M | 4789 comments Mod
Hooray for the end of reading slumps!
Hooray for new Bingos!

message 87: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Thank you Melissa and Renee!

One more book down today :)

message 88: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments Good job, Kassandra! And have a great week, too!

message 89: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments I had a lovely relaxing day today and found time to read a book. A good start - still 6 books behind schedule!

message 90: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments I'm so glad you relaxed and enjoyed your reading day! Grab a few YA books that will fill in your 6 book gap. :)

message 91: by Renee, Mistress of the Mini-Challenge (new)

Renee M | 4789 comments Mod
Heheh. Maybe some YA Fantasy and kill two birds. :)

message 92: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Great suggestions ladies - I just happen to have some YA sitting right here that I can use :)

message 93: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Making some progress on the BINGO challenge (and subsequently, the Points Challenge) but this Alphabet Soup is killing me! It's like I'm purposely picking titles that won't help me out. Oh well, May is turning out to be a pretty successful month so far. I don't want to jinx myself just yet, but it's looking good :)

message 94: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments I think you are doing great on the Alphabet Soup. Remember you have half a year left Girlie!

message 95: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Yay, May is now officially my best month so far this year for # of books read! I will likely tie my all time best tomorrow when I finish reading Blood of My Blood.

message 96: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments How many?

message 97: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments 12!

message 98: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Coyle | 1557 comments GREAT JOB!!!

message 99: by Kassandra (new)

Kassandra | -1 comments Thank you! Someday I hope to be able to keep up with you ;)

You're having a great month!
And what Melissa says is true, the longer minus have longer read-times. Alphabet Soup could take a whole year to simmer. ;-)
