Gage likes everything neat and tidy and organized. That's just how he is. He can be incredibly silly sometimes, such as wearing a (emptied of course!!!) watermelon over his head. He can be forgetful, too. Sometimes he forgets to feed Tibbers, which most likely ends with a very mad cat and a scratched Gage. He doesn't really have any talent other than cooking, but he considers himself pretty good at giving advice. Gage's a bit of a jokester, too. Overall a goofy, friendly old man! He'll never leave behind a comrade/fellow chef if their soup happens to be a little too salty, as he has lived a very long time and has quite the expertise!

Lily, his mother, lived across the street from Dean (his father). Lily would often come over to play with his sister, Rose. But sometimes Lily came over when Rose was out, and chatted with Dean instead of what she would normally do (which would be to draw with Rose, as Rose was quite the artist!). Lily found Dean very interesting, almost more interesting than his sister! Which came as quite a surprise to Dean, since he had always thought his sister was better at a lot of things than himself. So you could say he got quite the self esteem boost from Lily. They started dating a few years later, to Rose's enjoyment. No, Rose was quite an odd girl. In fact, she quite enjoyed teasing Lily about it! So when Lily and Dean **FINALLY** married, they gave birth to a lovely little daughter, whom they named Laura. Soon after (about 3 or so years), they had another baby, but this one was male! They named him Gage.

And that's where he comes in on this story! Gage often played with his sister (Laura, as mentioned earlier) in the family's small little cottage. His mother was the caretaker for them, as their father was normally working very hard to provide them with a roof over their heads, and plentiful food on the table. Gage took up cooking so his mother wouldn't have to deal with so much, and sometimes even cleaned up the house a bit. That has all contributed greatly to his current job and personality! Currently, his parents sadly died quite a while ago. They are buried in the cottages' backyard, but it was sold so now there are just random bodies there, which Gage finds amusing but still a little odd. He enjoys the company of his cat, Tibbers, and sometimes his sister, when she is feeling up for the walk, but that is not often since her hips are a little out of shape.
