Moloch | 3975 comments I came across this book
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...

It is a Paperback with ASIN: I was thinking of a mistake, but both the Amazon page https://www.amazon.it/strano-caso-del... and the publisher page https://www.newtoncompton.com/libro/l... list an ASIN and no ISBN

This doesn't seem the usual single used copy sold through Amazon.

Is the ASIN ok here or should I delete it?

Thanks

lethe | 16359 comments Since it is a PoD it doesn't get an ISBN. This is the same situation as with second-hand print copies without ISBN, i.e. the ASIN should be deleted. ETA: in my opinion.

It does say 'Amazon edition' on the publisher's site, with the same ASIN for all three editions. I think the ASIN should only be used for the actual ebook (Kindle).

ETA 2: on Amazon, the Kindle edition has a different ASIN.

Lots of PoDs get ISBNs. Regardless, on Goodreads only Kindle and Audible editions should have ASINs listed.

I stand corrected.

Keith (kgf0) | 377 comments If it's deleted, won't it just get automatically reimported again?

No, paperbacks with ASINs don't usually import. This one was manually added by a user.
