Tatevik | 27 comments Hello,
I am having trouble combining two editions that are on different pages.
The problem is that the author has many books that are situated in 24+ pages when I open the combine page. One of the editions is in the next page, I check the box in one page and when I press next page to find the other edition and check it too, GR says "Must select at least 2 works to combine". Tried several times with no result.

Has anyone had such problems and could help me?

Sandra | 31455 comments You need to get them both on the same page.

1) Have you tried using the letters at the top rather than the box? Provided they both start with the same letter.

If that doesn't work -
2) Do they have the same title or is one different? If they are different, add a word at the beginning to each or the beginning of the title to the other one to make them the same. This should force them to be on the same page. Then when combined, delete whatever you added.

Tatevik | 27 comments The titles are the same, I tried the first one, didn't work, they were still on different pages. But I didn't think of the second option, thank you! I will add 0 or 1 and see if it works, thanks a lot!

Art | 9 comments I had this question myself, and was disappointed there isn't a natural way to do it (feature request!).

As an alternative to the above suggestions, I ended up modifying the page html, copying-pasting the element for the one edition on one page next to the element for the other edition on the other page. That did work, and I personally prefer it to making temporary edits to the books; but I imagine not everyone is comfortable editing the page html (a lot easier to screw up), so the above suggestions should probably still be the primary recommendation.
