Mehsi Have fun Kathryn! Hope you enjoy the book.

Jessica | 729 comments I just got home from work so I'll be finishing up Nights in Rodanthe soon. Then I'll probably pick up either Dreamland or The Outsiders. What do you guys suggest?

message 103: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 729 comments Also, Jacque! Any idea when we'll have another readathon? I'm bummed that I didn't get to participate as much as I'd hoped today!

message 104: by Mandiann (new)

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Tough choice. Dreamland is lighter but Outsiders is shorter if you are trying to finish it tonight to collect points.

message 105: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 729 comments Hmm. I think I'll go for The Outsiders first and then try to fit in Dreamland later! Thanks Mandiann. Have you read both before?

Mandiann (goodreadscommandiann) | 6882 comments Yes, they are both very different and I liked each for different reasons.

Jessica (Goldenfurpro) (goldenfurproductions) | 1020 comments I haven't been chatting on here at all! I actually stayed away from the computer all day (except when putting my points in)! I was really dedicated to reading today!

I read all 8 books that I planned out! (1,553 pages total. They weren't very big books) Right now, I need a break from reading! I doubt I'll even pick up a book tomorrow. I need to check my email, which is currently at 143 UNREAD. I also need to review some books!

Anyway, I'm really excited for the next one!

Trisha | 30284 comments YAy! Congrats Jessica!!! :)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments Congrats everyone! You all did better than my 4 pages of reading! It turned out that yesterday was MUCH busier than I was expecting.

Jessica, I don't have any specific dates in mind but it will probably be a week long (?) but I am not sure when.

message 110: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Congrats to everyone. :)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I also prefer the week long ones, but I still read more yesterday than I probably would have without the readathon. It was fun.

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 4549 comments How the heck did people get so many points???!!! I barely made it through one comic and half of a longer book! :P

message 113: by ★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix), snowflakes and eyelashes (new)

★ℕłℂØℓҾ★ (Nix) (ladyknightnix) | 4549 comments My day was much busier than expected too lol.

message 114: by Sofiraindrop (new)

Sofiraindrop | 425 comments I wanted to be reading the 24 hrs as a challenge, but then I didn't want to give up lunch and dinner with my family, and ended up asleep 2 hours before the readathon ended jajaja I was so angry when I woke up

message 115: by Vicki (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments Nicole, I only slept three hours or so, and my eyeballs are sore. LOL But my husband fed me (cooked) our meals so I literally read most of the day; however, I did have many interruptions. What I don't get is how people read 1000's of pages of books! THOUSANDS!

message 116: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 729 comments I know, Vicki! I just added up the amount of pages I read yesterday and it was just under 500. I'm pretty happy with that considering I slept a lot and had to work.

Even reading for 24 hours straight (and I'm a fast reader!) ... there is NO WAY I could read thousands! I didn't even realize the day of the readathon had arrived til halfway through the day though too.
