#10 Readathon: Let's Chat!

how is your reading going Vicki?? Looks like you are claiming lots of points!! WOOHOO!!

Anyway I managed 2 short ones (60-ish pages) and I'm halfway done with Freak Boy. I can tell I'm going to fall asleep so we'll see. LOL

I also have not started reading yet. I have been sick and wanted to let my body sleep and recuperate. Going to start a book right now.

Lol. It also didn't help my case that I was on my bed when I fell asleep. Now I'm on the couch and it's working out pretty well but I'll have to move again soon because my mom and sister are going to have a Downton Abbey marathon.

You might just be faster than others and/or have less "distractions." I've read two short ones and nearly done with a 400 plus one. You aren't crazy! LOL

Wow, you're doing great Vicki! I wish I didn't have so much distractions today.

I had plenty last night, my husband has had the TV on since 8:00, and I had to go to my daughter's this morning (about an hour 40 minutes), but I listened to about 30 pages on my NOOK of a book that I just started. LOL
I read two books now (one was over 600 pages). I also have much distractions, I just went to the last hobbit movie and my family is constantly asking things of me. Today it also snows (first time this winter) so I'm looking out of the window all the time :)

My reading is going well, but I the books are pretty long, so it's taking me a while, but I like it!

I'm glad you are enjoying it. I love the readathons because no matter how much I read, it's usually more than I would have because I do push myself more, not matter the circumstance.

Trinity, I've done that before. It's all about reading anyway. :o)

taken a little stroll around your area and stretch your legs??
What are your book choices??

I also didn't like The Hit, dropped it at 30 pages or so. Wanted to read it further eventually, but then I started reading the reviews and heard about certain things that I didn't like and thus I never continued with that book.

If you need, I can sprint with you?

Do you have any novellas that might perk you up??
or need a list of some free ones out there??

Agreed! I loved Fangirl. Haven't read the Hit.

Oh, good idea, Novellas!

I agree that variety in types of books helps, getting up and around from time to time, picking some short prequels/sequels to help you read a few books rather than one of two long ones. If you have any books in verse, they go by quickly.
I'd sprint with you, too, but I have family in and out today. But once I'm available to commit, I'd be more than happy to sprint with you.
Good luck! Remember, it's all about the reading. If you aren't enjoying your reading choices/time, don't force it.
