Well, here is the beginning of a new year and a new challenge. Just enjoy yourself and keep track of what you are reading. I had neck and upper back surgery before Christmas and cannot spend more than an hour on the computer at a time. It's slow going. Here are this month's challenges.

1. Read a book whose author's surname starts with V.
2. Read a non-fiction book.
3. Read a crime book.
4. Read a book with a cool title.
5. Read a book about football.
6. Read a book that you received as a gift.
7. Read a book less than 250 pages.
8. Read a classic.
9. Your choice.

Colleen Mertens | 39 comments So I am going to try to be on here more. So far this year I have finished Roseanne Cash's Composed. It was a memoir of her life and she writes prose as well as she writes songs. I enjoyed reading her work and life story. For a non-fiction book I am reading Black Boy by Richard Wright. For a cool title, I am reading Withering Tights, which is funny.

Colleen Mertens | 39 comments Since I lasted posted I finished "The Courtship of Princess Leia" which is my favorite Star Wars book of all time. Still love it. I also finished "The Quest of the Simple Life" by William J. Dawson. It compared city life to the ability to live in the country. It was an interesting premise but a little dry at times.
