Book Description:

There are three rules for the zombipocalypse...Don't leave the fort. Don't get bit. DON'T fall in love!

Emma Taylor does all three in the same week.

Nathan White is the only doctor left in Fort Burgh and Emma is in love with him. She refuses to admit it until he goes missing. Venturing out into the wild means certain death, but she can't let him turn to zombie food. Heading out to face her biggest fears, she comes to terms with falling in love and finds her emotions hiding alongside the crazy, young doctor.

Karen Siddall (boysmom) | 347 comments I completed this book and wrote an honest review of what I received. But after looking, this book has numerous stellar reviews and has a rating of over 4 stars here on Goodreads. I thought it was a good story but the execution is full of grammar issues and the premise of the story changes without reason within the first chapter or so. I note/highlight such things on my Kindle and have over 600 notes. This was a very difficult "read." I have waited and thought about it for quite a while; the review is now long overdue. But it occurred to me...do I have the correct version? I also own the one that is posted on Amazon and it is pretty much identical...but only one other reviewer even mentions grammar issues and no one mentions that what originally starts the virus spreading changes from being one thing (a needle-stick) to another (a bug bite) or that the characters start out 25 years old when the outbreak occurs and fours years later are only 24.

Karen Siddall (boysmom) | 347 comments Okay - haven't heard back so I've gone ahead and posted my review based on the copy I received. If I've gotten a draft copy somehow, please let me know so I can have a re-do. Also, if the author is interested in my list of issues in the copy I read, let me know. I can send a PDF.
