Book problems

Hey! So this book has a few things I'm seeing. First off, the publication date is wrong - it was published much earlier than what is given. Secondly, when searching "Beowulf" in the search bar, many different editions come up. Is there a way someone could spend some time cleaning up the editions - combining those that can be, making sure everything is correct? Thanks!

For the publication date, you'll have to be more specific, I'm afraid. Just saying that it is wrong isn't really helpful. You'll probably also need someone with more specific expertise.
When I look at Wikipedia, it says: "The date of composition is a matter of contention among scholars; the only certain dating pertains to the manuscript, which was produced between 975 and 1025." So the current date of 975 doesn't seam unreasonable to me.

As for the different editions:
I've added "Unknown" as primary author for editions that were listed as "Anonymous" or that had a translator as primary author and combined them.

There are also lots of adaptations/retellings. These should not be combined with the original book they are based on.
And there are books about Beowulf, and books where Beowulf is just part of the title but that are unrelated.
