Reading book that's not on Goodreads

Thanks. Does it take a while for the book to show up? I tried adding it to my "currently reading" and got no search results. Does the author or publisher have to request having it added? I want to review it when I finish.

It comes up when you search using the ISBN: Murder at the Petroglyphs (which is often the best way to search for a book).
And no, anybody can add books to GR, it doesn't have to be a published or author.
