Finished The Hungry Road: From the bestselling author of Under the Hawthorn Tree
My Review: www.goodreads.com/review/show/3192251439
I recommend this to anyone dealing with anxiety and/or depression - their own, or someone else’s. Your Own Kind of Girl is Aussie singer and entertainer Clare Bowditch’s raw, often funny, memoir, which includes lots of tips and a good reference list. The cover is one of my favourites!

Finished and unfortunately didn’t enjoy The Essex Serpent

Some books are worth reading twice. Bookclub re-read Where the Crawdads Sing

The Good Turn by Aussie/Irish author Dervla McTiernan is her best one yet! Irish detective Cormac Reilly is trying to fight crime and his superiors (I use the term loosely) at the same time.

I'm reading The Institute and I need to know what's going to happen! It's so engaging. King is such a great storyteller.
I'm currently reading Catch and Kill: Lies, Spies, and a Conspiracy to Protect Predators. Finding it pretty interesting, yet shocking so far.Just finished reading The Last Town and I thought it was so gripping. I haven't read a series so fast.
Is anybody normal, or do we just think everyone else is? I recently read Sally Rooney's Normal People, which was longlisted for the Booker Prize in 2018.

I am currently reading Sharp objects by Gillian Flynn. Pretty sure this is going to be a crazy book since she wrote Gone Girl.
Finished This Is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor

I just finished the third book in the My Brilliant Friend series. Has anyone else read it? I’m going to read the fourth book next, but I’m not too excited about it because as the story progresses the characters are getting more and more easier to dislike.
One of my favourite authors is Aussie Sulari Gentill who writes the delightful Rowland Sinclair historical mystery series. I loved Paving the New Road. He and his friends are in Munich in 1933, watching the frightening rise of Hitler and Fascism.

Another colourful book for kids that adults will enjoy is Portrait of an Artist: Vincent van Gogh: Discover the Artist Behind the Masterpieces. I shared several of the illustrations to show how good it is.

I'm currently reading The Paris Wife for a RL book club. It reads sort of like a memoir. I'm about halfway through and I'm kind of bored. It's not bad and I don't dislike it really, but it isn't exciting or even very interesting. I just find it kind of neutral. I could stop reading and forget about it at any time. I'm also reading Darling Rose Gold. It is better than the Paris Wife, but I'm not really loving this one either.
I'm reading Girl Stop apologizing by Rachel Hollis. I love self help and personal development books, and this one is a good one.
Saving Missy by Beth Morrey is bound to be a favourite of many. Old lady, cute dog, new friends.
