We also lost Joseph Daron, Jr. to John Fautenberry. See 50 American Serial Killers You've Probably Never Heard Of: Volume 2.
Elizabeth Duncan and her two hired killers, Luis Moya and Gus Baldonaldo, were executed today. I really wonder how Duncan's son, who was also her defense atty, must have felt on this day -- he vigorously defended her in court but it was after all his wife and unborn child who were murdered. See

Luis, L, and Gus, R (I think)

("Ma" Duncan looking satisfied with the proceedings while her son, Frank, in the foreground, does a bit of a facepalm)

Fishface | 19006 comments 2/18 is, very happily, the day Elisabeta Florea escaped Rimaru Ion with her life. See Romanian Serial Killers: The Punisher.
And Philip Husereau died of auto-erotic asphyxiation. This was purely good news to the women of the world, but he also took a few secrets to the grave with him. The day after he bought the farm, his sister came forward and told police about the 5 girlfriends he'd killed over the years. See https://murderpedia.org/male.H/h/huse...
Olive Durand-Deacon, a woman ahead of her time, brought up her idea of manufacturing stick-on plastic fingernails to save women the time and hassle of doing their nails. The man she brought it up to invited her over to his factory to talk it over in more detail, where he killed her, robbed her, and stuffed her in a barrel before pouring acid over her to get rid of the evidence. This is, VERY approximately, the day Adam Frank was (probably) killed and (definitely) dumped under the house for safekeeping by his daughter Antoinette. It's exactly the day that Antoinette and her friend Rogers Lacaze killed Ronald Williams and Quoc and Cuong Vu. Chau Vu escaped alive, but it was a close thing. See Killer With a Badge.

Fishface | 19006 comments 3/11 is the day they found Keely Pincott's skeleton, months after her disappearance the previous November. She is thought to be a victim of a man known only as the Calgary Prostitute Killer. See Cold North Killers: Canadian Serial Murder.

This is also the day Sgt. Robert Bales massacred 16 inoffensive Afghan villagers. See The Devil's Defender: My Odyssey Through American Criminal Justice from Ted Bundy to the Kandahar Massacre.
Jeffery Mathis became the latest child murder victim in Atlanta. For reasons I'm not clear on, despite the time and place he was never clearly connected to the Atlanta Child Murders. See The Atlanta Child Murders: The Night Stalker.

Stephanie Lane was murdered, definitely by Willie Pickton, but the authorities declined to press charges in her case even though they found 2 of her vertebrae at the pig farm -- pretty clear proof that she didn't just happen to leave her DNA there on a doorknob or something. See The Pickton File.

We also lost Aundria Crawford. See Dead And Buried: A Shocking Account of Rape, Torture, and Murder on the California Coast.
Mary Jane, John Stephan, and Julissa Camacho-Rubio were decapitated by their parents in a pretty horrifying folie a deux scenario. See The Long Shadow of Small Ghosts: Murder and Memory in an American City.

We lost Beverly Kaster, maybe to serial killer Earl Daughtrey. See Hunting Humans: The Encyclopedia of Serial Killers, Vol. 2.
Caren Koslow was dusted by her stepdaughter, Kristi Koslow, who had an issue with the way her parents' divorce had cut into her income. Kristi's dad Jack was also bludgeoned pretty seriously, but survived to identify the two friends of Kristi's who did her dirty work. See When Good Kids Kill.

Claude Hawkins was gunned down on Federal property, allowing the FBI to step into his murder investigation and, I hope, speeding the arrest of the Sniper Killer : The True Story Of Thomas Dillon.
This is the approximate day in 1914 that Dan McNichol was shot in the back of the head, then packed into a trunk with all his clothing, labels and personal effects included. Fishface | 19006 comments 3/15 is an interesting day for me because I see I have it listed here that Elaine Allenbach was killed by Gilbert Jordan. What's odd about that is that I listed her as having been killed by Willie Pickton 2 days before this, on the thirteenth. I have no idea where I read specifically about Elaine in regard to either serial killer. Apparently she is clean missing, not clearly connected to either of them, and has not been seen since 1986. She might not even be dead!

(but if the truth be told, I fear the worst)

Darrell Rich was executed. He fought it of course, as who wouldn't, but he admitted all along that he pretty much had it coming. See In the Company of Evil: Thirty Years of California Crime, 1950-1980.
This is also the day Thomas R. Bunday killed himself to avoid arrest for serial murder. We know not what secrets he took with him to the grave. See https://medium.com/@robinbarefield76/... (but be aware that the photo of the killer is really a candid snapshot of Salvatore Perrone, the Shopkeeper Killer, aka the Son of Sal).

(Bunday steered this bike head-on into a semi on the freeway, killing himself despite the trucker's attempts to get out of the way)

Fishface | 19006 comments 3/26 is the day Jacqueline Martarella was killed -- about 8 hours AFTER the police's most likely-looking suspect, John Kogut, was arrested for something else. The killers proved to be his close friends, John Restivo and Dennis Halstead. See Raising Hell: An Encyclopedia of Devil Worship and Satanic Crime.
We lost Tommie Lou Whiddon to Frank Walls. See 50 American Serial Killers You've Probably Never Heard Of: Volume 6.

Josephine San Filippo was killed in her own front yard in Detroit, back in the days when Detroit was one of the most desirable places to live in the whole country. The case has never been solved. See Terror in the Streets.
Jammie Lane was killed by Elias Abuelazam. We know this even though good old Elias will never do a minute of hard time for that killing. See 50 American Serial Killers You've Probably Never Heard Of: Volume 7.

James Wales killed Cheri Lindsay. I have no idea where I read about her but see here: https://wnbf.com/binghamton-murderer-...

This is also the day we lost Vera Jo Reigle in a sick, bizarre situation. See https://www.thecriminalcode.com/index...

(Vera Jo holding the motive for the crime, her baby daughter)

This was a devastating day for 2 families, maybe 3, in the Deep South. Leon Evers, William and Carrie Burton, and their children Sonny and Leona died violently, as did Lyle Finucane, Ellen Monroe and their 4 children. See Sacrificial Axe: Voodoo Cult Slayings in the Deep South.
This is also the anniversary of the murder of Julie Speerschneider. See Mad City: The True Story of the Campus Murders That America Forgot.
