Welcome Emilie! I hope you find some terrific reads here. I also love Biblical fiction. This group has been a great resource in finding new authors that really have increased my bookshelf and reading pleasure.

Welcome Payton! I'm also an animal lover. We've got chickens, dogs, ducks and fish. I'm hoping to include goats and pigs in the near future. I love reading on rainy days too.
Sometimes its a hard choice to make if I should be out gardening, tending animals or reading. I am grateful that when it gets dark, I can delve into my books without thinking twice.

I just finished a collection of novellas you might enjoy. All set in the late 1800s I think. All about lighthouse keepers and how they find romance. Each is set in a diff state so that made it more fun for me . I got to feel like I was traveling around the country. Title is Lighthouse Brides Collection by 6 diff authors. If you need a name to help find it DiAnn Mills is 1st on cover.

Barbara Moss | 4 comments Hello. I joined the group Around the World in 80 Books about six months ago, and have worked my way through a challenge there. Now I am looking for novels which retell bible stories - especially Genesis - from a different point of view. Or narrative criticism. Your bookshelf looks like a useful place to start looking.
I am an Anglican priest living in London.

Welcome! You are the second Barbara I have "met" (the other in real life) who is an Anglican priest, but I am guessing that the other one is retired by now. She was in Vancouver, though. I grew up in the Canadian Anglican church but God called me to a different sort of church when I was an adult.

I have also retired, after 10 years in Gothenburg, Sweden, but still help out from time to time, both in the London area and occasionally elsewhere in Europe.

Marcus O'Malley | 4 comments Hi my name is Marcus O'Malley and I love Jesus. In 2008 I sold everything I owned and moved to South Africa to love on lost people and work with orphanages and entrepreneurs there.

I now live in the US and have written my first Fiction book inspired by my journey. The money from that book along with a Church match are going to fund a soccer field that I'm trying to build for the refugee and under-served communities of Louisville.

I'd love if you gave it a read:

Hello, Kali! I appreciate the pronunciation guide. My name is always mispronounced, and it gets annoying. I'm Lila with a long eye. ;)

My favorite authors are Jane Austen and Karen Witemeyer, too! My dad loved Zane Grey. In fact, I think it was one of his books that gave him the idea for my first name!

Welcome!

Hi Kali! Jane Austen is one of my favorites, and I have read nearly all of Karen Witemeyer's books! I really enjoy her writing! Zane Grey has written so many great westerns! My family used to have a home in the Pocono Mountains very close to Zane Grey's house in Lackawaxen, PA. It's owned by the National Park Service now. A very interesting place! I also love horses and we had several of them over the years. My favorite was a buckskin named Dynamite. 🐎 His mother, Starr, gave birth to him here at my house and we had him his entire life. After he died, we did not get any more horses, but I do love them! It's so nice to have you as a member of our group!

Wanda Luthman (wandaluthman) | 7 comments Hi everyone,
I recently joined this group. I'm really happy to connect with other Christians. I am an author and have written children's books previously. Not directly Christian meaning not sharing scripture and all, but definitely Christian messages like forgiveness and loyalty and giving. Anyway, I lost my husband last year and have felt God leading me into the direction of writing more directly Christian books. I think it would be considered Christian fiction since they are Christian and fiction, but sometimes I think Christian Fiction means romance between Christians. Anyway, I'm also writing my late husband's story but have been encouraged to write it as fiction since I mention other people in it. I have tried to be true to the story but not throw anyone under the bus, so to speak. I feel like it might read too slow and was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading the first chapter and giving me some feedback? It's about his walk on a pilgrimage in Spain called The Camino and then coming home to a terminal diagnosis of brain cancer and finding himself on a different kind of pilgrimage, one that leads him to heaven.

Yes, Earl Grey tea is British. It is a black tea blend with bergamot oil. It is Queen Elizabeth's favorite tea. She drinks the Twinings brand. I have read that she even takes it with her when she travels.

Wanda Luthman (wandaluthman) | 7 comments Hi everyone, I'm glad to be here. I've been on Goodreads but never realized there were groups to get involved with. Where have I been?! LOL
I'm a Christian and a children's author but recently have started writing in the Christian fiction genre.
My husband passed away last year and he asked me to write his story, so I'm presently working on that. He had walked the Camino de Santiago in Spain (a pilgrimage) in September only to come home and be diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in October. He died 7 months later.
The book is called I'm On My Way.
Thank you for letting me share a little bit about me.
I'd love to connect and get to know others here.
