Welcome Victoria!!

Loraine wrote: "Welcome Emma. We're so glad you joined us. I made it to Ireland, but wanted so much to go back and see Scotland. You will find lots of great books to read here and keep us up to date on your writing."Thanks Loraine. Ireland is beautiful - my mum is from Northern Ireland - but yes, Scotland is not to be missed! :)
Stephanie wrote: "Hello everyone. My name is Stephanie Martin. I am a homeschooled Christian girl that loves books! (as you can probably see). I love Charlotte Brontë's "Jane Eyre", Francine Rivers "Mark of The Lion..."Stephanie, I like Francine Rivers' books too, especially her historical fiction series. Brock and Bodie Thoene also have excellent books set during WWII and 1947-48 Israel. I've also read the other recommended authors and agree with Loraine's list. (As far as I know, Terquerst writes Bible studies. Kingsberry writes contemporary fiction.) I've also written an OT series set in the times of Esther, Ezra, and Nehemiah called the Such a Hope series, which you might enjoy. Glad you joined!
Hi! I was on goodreads regularly 10 years ago, but we made several moves and I was fighting serious chronic lung issues. I lost access to my account and the email I needed to restore it. So now that we're settled and I can breathe - I am starting over. I have been trying to add my old books in - but I'm not done yet. I used to be a homeschool mom, but my boys are grown, married, and now I have grandchildren to read to. I am an animal lover and love to sing as long as only God and my cats can hear me. I'm looking forward to connecting with other Christian fiction lovers.

I also used to be a homeschool mom, and all my kids are adults, My first grandchild was born five weeks ago. I haven't read to her yet since she's almost always sleeping, but I plan to do a lot of it in the future.
Peggy, I’m so glad you’re better able to breathe now. That sounds so scary, going through something like that! Praise the Lord for His healing touch. Happy reading and welcome.

Hi everyone, I have just published my first novel, Unto the Uttermost, which is on goodreads, and can be purchased from lulu.com.I have wanted to write Christian fiction for some years, and at last I have achieved this. I have so far sold 60 copies in the first 2 months.
I’m Clara. I’m a 17 year old homeschool student from MS, USA. I’ve been a Christian for 3.5 years. Besides reading especially Christian fiction, I love biography, fantasy and biblical fiction. I also play volleyball, sing in choir, practice taekwondo, and play the ukulele as my other hobbies. I’m so thankful to be here! ☺️😘
Andrea wrote: "Welcome to the CFD family, Clara! So great to have you here with us."Thank you Andrea!
Welcome Clara! Glad you are joining us. You will find lots of great reads here. Sounds like you are a busy girl between homeschooling and activities.

Hi! I'm Pamela and I just joined your group. My shelves are full of books from many historical eras. Favorites of mine are historical Christian fiction books set in the Antebellum years, American Civil War, Revolutionary War, the Old West, and 19th century England, but if the book is good, I enjoy almost all time periods. I also enjoy Bible study, Victorian decorating, tea and cats! Looking forward to getting to know others here who share the same interests!Pamela

I also like researching my family tree, and recently discovered that my great-uncle was Gen. Patton's personal driver during the latter part of the war. That was an interesting discovery!

Hi, Pamela! I also enjoy Bible studies, Victorian and Regency culture, tea (my best friend sells looseleaf teas), and cats! I have a kitty right now, but I also love dogs. As to books, setting doesn't really matter to me. As long as I relate to the characters, I don't care where it's set. Feel free to friend me on Goodreads and I can see which historicals you recommend. I'll likely be recommending mostly contemporary, as I'm in that kick right now. ;)
Lila wrote: "Hi, Pamela! I also enjoy Bible studies, Victorian and Regency culture, tea (my best friend sells looseleaf teas), and cats! I have a kitty right now, but I also love dogs. I didn't want to get another dog at that point because I worried that the dog might outlive me and it would be hard for them to adjust to a new "mommy" so now I just have my 2 cats. I love them dearly and have had both of them for about 10 years.
I will "friend" you. I read contemporary books sometimes, too. I also find I sometimes change my reading mood...if a book is good, it doesn't matter the setting or era. Thanks for your kind welcome!
Welcome Pamela! I love historical fiction from all those eras as well as World War I and II and suspense and cozy mysteries.I am a genealogy addict as well. My 4th great grandfather was a member of the Lighthorse Brigade and rode with Paul Revere during the Revolutionary War.
Sounds like many of us have common interests. I am a moderator here at CFD, so feel to ask questions if you have any as you navigate our website.

Hi Loraine! How interesting about your 4th great grandfather! Most of my ancestors arrived in the U.S. after the American Revolution. One of my 3rd great uncles was a surgeon in the Union Army during the Civil War. Another fought for the Confederacy with the Washington Artillery of New Orleans, and yet another was a member of The Palmetto Guard and later, Wade Hampton's Legion of Charleston S.C. They moved South before the Civil War and would not fight against their home states when the war broke out...so they remained loyal to their adopted land. What a sad time that was for our Country. It truly was often "brother against brother."
Thank you for your "Friend" reqest! I'm already enjoying this group so much!

Welcome Payton!
I'm fairly new here, too. You'll enjoy this group! I'm an animal lover, too and had horses for many years. Never had a goat, but they are so cute! I had a lamb named Fleecy. Now I have 2 cats...they are my babies! I agree about rainy days. If I can spend a whole day indoors with a good book, I love it!

Hello everyone! I'm happy to be here! My pen name's Clarissa Choo-Choo Train, and I was saved by Christ. I'm formerly a business kid, ATCK (adult third culture kid). An ATCK is an adult who grew up living in countries outside his/her birth country. I started writing seriously two years ago, and am writing in a variety of genres.

Hello my name is Emilie, and I have been on Goodreads for a few months now. I became a follower of Jesus when I was 12 years old, and I have had no regrets since. I love Christian fiction so much. My favorite genres within the Christian fiction branch are romance, suspense, ya, and some Amish. I also love a Biblical fiction! I’m excited to get started with this group and discover new books to read.

Welcome! This is a great group and I know you will enjoy being here! Amish fiction is "sehr gut!" I enjoy it, too! Beverly Lewis is my favorite Amish author. I live fairly close to Lancaster County and became friends with a nice Amish family who own a bake shop. They are good people!
Nice to have you in our group!
