Welcome Elizabeth. I started with Bodie and Brock Thoene also. Sound like we have a lot of favorite authors in common!

Have you read The Love Note by Joanna Davidson Politano? It’s a Gothic mystery, and I quite enjoyed it.

Welcome Anna. I'm also a Californian, but now live in Colorado to be close to my kids. You'll will find lots of wonderful recommendations for both mystery and historical fiction (my favorite genre) here. Check out our Reading through the Ages challenge, and you will find so many good reads you will have a lengthy TBR list!

I have a question: I have a webpage/blog/internet presence where I write and present some of my stories. Where would I put announcements for posting those?
Welcome, Luke!
Thank you for asking. Our folder for authors has a great spot for that, called Welcome Authors - Introduce Yourself & Your Books.

Congratulations on the stories!

I’ve been reading through different chats and challenges for weeks.
I was a reader before I was a writer. Reading Melanie Dobson and Becky Wade at the moment.
Cut my teeth on Lori Wick and Francine Rivers back in the day.

Thank you hosting such a great discussion group!

Thanks!

As a Christian, I prefer clean reads, and I've been having so much trouble finding good Christian books, or even just normal books that don't contain profanity or a very obvious political agenda that goes against my beliefs.
I'm looking forward to being in this group!
Welcome, Cari! Have you tried Karen Witemeyer yet? One of my favorites is Full Steam Ahead.
Which genres do you write? I tend toward contemporary womens fiction and romance (Christian), but I also dabble in historical and thriller.

Cari - there are some great Christian historical fiction authors that you might enjoy: Sarah Sundin, Liz Tolsma, Angela Elwell Hunt, Ann Tatlock, and Tasha Alexander are just a few.

Do you know of any European authors of Christian fiction? I would be interested in discovering some new authors from your part of the world too. 😊
