How I see it, if we do book 1 in June, book 2 in July, and book 3 in August, the prequel will go for September. I'd love to see you join :D <3

I'd love to join for The Raven Boys in April! I have read the book before, but I haven't finished the series and I'd love to re-read it. Not sure if I could continue with a buddy read for the whole series as my May is very busy, but I'll definitely see when it gets closer.

I'd also like to join in reading Good Omens in August! I've heard great things about it.

September

-The Way of Kinds by Brandon Sanderson #1 in the Stormlight Archive series (interested in reading the whole series of currently 3 books-10 total good reads says will be coming out)"

@Ruthie
I'm not sure whether you noticed or whether you prefer to start later, but there's already a Buddy Read for the Stormlight Archive series, which started this month.
It runs 2 months each for Books 1 and 2 (so Feb-March and May-June), Edgedancer (SA #2.5) in July, then Book 3 in August-Sep.
Cheers!

I am so over-booked for Buddy Reads this year, but what the heck!
Kristin, please sign me up to join the Buddy Read for Book 1 only of The Hunger Games series nominated by Elena. I'll decide later whether or not to continue the series. :D

Also also, for which months do you see these books for? Because May is an exam-prep month for me :(
Later in the year and early next year works for me too :D

I read the books 1 and 2 never got to the third one. I`ve seen the movies also. I think I might do the audio for LOTR

1. Thank you;
2. Thank you;
3. The way that I understood it, we would be starting the Game of Thrones bookS in March;
4. I suggested two months per book, but will defer;
5. I then understood that we would cover the Lord of the Rings bookS upon completing Game of Thrones;
6. I recommended The Hobbit prior to Lord of the Rings (after the conclusion of Game of Thrones), but it was also recommended that we conclude with The Hobbit, again, I defer; and
7. Thank you!

message 190: by Shareen (new)

Shareen Ghabrial (ghabi) | 299 comments I just saw that I typed what you typed, so that seems to be a good sign, and it sure does seem to fit nicely for the year? I am also okay with Overlap, seeing that the Game of Thrones books would be split across two months.

message 191: by Tomethee Chalamet (new)

Tomethee Chalamet (likeactualsoulmates) | 269 comments I will join the LoTR buddy reads when we figure out the months but as a suggestion, it would work for me if we started in August with whichever book we're reading first. What do you guys want? I also don't mind waiting and discussing all this next year too.

message 192: by Michele (new)

Michele Sutton | 21 comments I’d like to join the GoT buddy read if that’s ok

message 193: by Ruthie (new)

Ruthie (ruthieram_reads) | 985 comments I’m fine with starting Lord of the Rings in August or next year. Maybe we revisit in early July to see how everyone’s reading is going and to decide.

message 194: by Shareen (new)

Shareen Ghabrial (ghabi) | 299 comments Overlap LoTR & GoT in a few months is fine, too. That way, we get traction in GoT.

BUT, the way that Kristin spread the books out was ideal for me, it fit well for the balance of the year, and to kick off 2021 together.

message 195: by Tomethee Chalamet (new)

Tomethee Chalamet (likeactualsoulmates) | 269 comments Alright! Maybe we can leave LoTR and discuss in October/November for next year then!

message 196: by Tomethee Chalamet (new)

Tomethee Chalamet (likeactualsoulmates) | 269 comments Also, I'd like to nominate Animal Farm by George Orwell for April
