Cool!
I would like to join in the reading of Shatter Me and all of the Hunger Games books (I haven't read any of them)! :)

I'd love to join for The Raven Boys in April! I have read the book before, but I haven't finished the series and I'd love to re-read it. Not sure if I could continue with a buddy read for the whole series as my May is very busy, but I'll definitely see when it gets closer.
I'd also like to join in reading Good Omens in August! I've heard great things about it.
Ruthie wrote: "More nomination ideas!September

@Ruthie
I'm not sure whether you noticed or whether you prefer to start later, but there's already a Buddy Read for the Stormlight Archive series, which started this month.
It runs 2 months each for Books 1 and 2 (so Feb-March and May-June), Edgedancer (SA #2.5) in July, then Book 3 in August-Sep.
Cheers!
~•Elena•~ wrote: "I'd also like to nominate The Hunger Games The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins by Suzanne Collins and follow each book respectively in June, July and AugustEdit: and The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes for September (as decided below)"
I am so over-booked for Buddy Reads this year, but what the heck!
Kristin, please sign me up to join the Buddy Read for Book 1 only of The Hunger Games series nominated by Elena. I'll decide later whether or not to continue the series. :D
I would like to suggest the Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein and I would like others to be a buddy as well on this read my apologies if I am not following proper protocol I am new to this. It’s for March
If we do Game of Thrones in March (I do want to join), will that be for two months, or just March? March is packed for me, but also my easiest for reading, so whatever works. Thank you!
Ruthie wrote: "I’m ok doing it either way for Game of Thrones!"Thanks! It looks like a deep one, and I do not want to rush it, especially that I know I will want to read them all. Have you done the Lord of the Rings books? Maybe we can attack those afterward hee hee.

Yes, more than I expected!
I usually read with one other person but this year I wanted to branch out and really meet great people!

Dominique, yes we can do the lord of the rings after the game of thrones series! I’ve never read them only seen the movies.
I'd love to join you guys for the LoTR books! This year is busy for me, but boy do I want to read those! And we'd read The Hobbit after the three?Also also, for which months do you see these books for? Because May is an exam-prep month for me :(
Later in the year and early next year works for me too :D
Ruthie wrote: "Dominique, yes we can do the lord of the rings after the game of thrones series! I’ve never read them only seen the movies."I read the books 1 and 2 never got to the third one. I`ve seen the movies also. I think I might do the audio for LOTR

I am with you on waiting if needed; also in an Exam season. I use the Reading Sprints for studies! We will see how Kristin choreographs it!

Good luck on your exams too <3

2. Thank you;
3. The way that I understood it, we would be starting the Game of Thrones bookS in March;
4. I suggested two months per book, but will defer;
5. I then understood that we would cover the Lord of the Rings bookS upon completing Game of Thrones;
6. I recommended The Hobbit prior to Lord of the Rings (after the conclusion of Game of Thrones), but it was also recommended that we conclude with The Hobbit, again, I defer; and
7. Thank you!
I just saw that I typed what you typed, so that seems to be a good sign, and it sure does seem to fit nicely for the year? I am also okay with Overlap, seeing that the Game of Thrones books would be split across two months.
I will join the LoTR buddy reads when we figure out the months but as a suggestion, it would work for me if we started in August with whichever book we're reading first. What do you guys want? I also don't mind waiting and discussing all this next year too.
I’m fine with starting Lord of the Rings in August or next year. Maybe we revisit in early July to see how everyone’s reading is going and to decide.
Overlap LoTR & GoT in a few months is fine, too. That way, we get traction in GoT. BUT, the way that Kristin spread the books out was ideal for me, it fit well for the balance of the year, and to kick off 2021 together.
Ruthie, I'll join you in July for Lock Every Door and The Husband's Secret.In August for To All the Boys I've Loved Before and Me Before You.
In October for The Woman in Cabin 10.
