Hi does anyone want to read the throne of glass series? I have read the first two books (the assassins blade and throne of glass) but want to read the whole series. I am open to suggestions for when to start though. My next one in that series will be crown of midnight. I would like to read this one in September but again if anyone want to get in on this I can wait until they have caught up to that number and you can suggest the month when we will read crown of midnight? Anyone interested?

I have the series waiting for me to be read for the first time! I think I will probably start them somewhere over the summer if I'm up for it, so yes, I'm definitely interested in a buddy read!

I'm reading the fourth book in the series, Queen of Shadows, for a challenge before 2020 is over. So any time you got there, I'll continue the series with you. :)

That sounds good. I’d love to finish the series by the end of 2020 too. But starting in September with book three as I have to many this summer to read now 😅 but I’d probably manage maybe two a month. Don’t know if we should have a throne of glass thread then that begins September and last until December with the full series? What do you guys think?

Helene, Shi, and Alexxy,

It is best to have a thread for each book so people can jump in if they are part way through the series (like Alexxy joining with book 4). There are 7 main books in the series and The Assassin's Blade, which is a collection of short stories that take place pre-book 1.

If you read 1 book per month, you would be ending in February or March depending on if you want Assassin's Blade added.

We can also create 2 threads in the series per month if you want to do it that way. I would suggest:

Throne of Glass - August
Crown of Midnight and Heir of Fire- September
Queen of Shadows and Empire of Storms- October
Tower of Dawn- November
Kingdom of Ash- December (this one is 984 pages).

I need confirmation from at least 2 of you for each book on when you'd like to start and how you want to split it up before adding to the spreadsheet!

Helene, will you be discussing Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass with Shi in July and August even though you've already read them? If so, the entire series will be added and confirmed with you 2, and Alexxy starting on book 4.

Garnet, people have until June 25th to confirm that they will read with you in July. It would be a good idea if no one joins for July, you mention in this thread that you would like your suggestions moved to August if you still want them on the list. We don't generally do that automatically unless requested.

As for the Lunar Chronicles, I've added the second book as suggested in the spreadsheet. Once another reader agrees to read with you, the buddy read will be confirmed. We'll add the rest of the books once you progress with the second book. :)
