That's alright! In that case, I don’t need to add a new buddy read thread for you.

Michelle, if you want to suggest this book for buddy reading, you can do that for a future month i.e. starting from June.

Clarrificiation: that would be shadow of night in July and the book of life in August ;).

Great, next month I am doing also a stephen king book. Would you also like to join that one?

Which one will you be reading?

I wasn’t gonna read because I already had books planned out for the month but there’s always room for a Stephen King to squeeze in.

I would like to join the buddy read for Daisy Jones & The Six in June. I meant to read this book last year and am DETERMINED to do so this year! :)
I am interested in reading The Ten Thousand Doors of January for June, but doubt I'll have a copy to do so, so I won't join unless that happens! :)
Thank you for all your work to enable these buddy reads!

I'd like to join the BR for July suggested by Shareen (Books 2 & 3).Shadow of Night
I've never done a BR here (or anywhere else for that matter lol). Are there any other feeds that I need to post in? Sorry for all the questions. Thanks everyone!

And YAY on the added Stephen King readers!

Great!

Eirelyn
We can discuss Raven Boys #2 in July!
My hold from the library is supposed to come through before that so I may finish it before July. OR if I have too much on my plate then I'll re-request it from the library for July.

I'm also good for Raven Boys #2 in July. I promise I'll actually have time to read the book this time!
this sounds fun how do i join or start

Keshav, it is unfortunately too late to suggest more books for the month of May. Cutoff for new suggestions is the 25th of each month. Thank you!

I've created a thread for A Discovery of Witches in the May Buddy Reads folder.

@Ruthie, great, thanks! I'm excited. :D
@Isabella, yay! I'm glad you'll be joining us again. I'll try to get it read earlier & not rush to finish it right at the end of the month this time. XD

Welcome to Buddy Reads, Coco! To understand how this works, please go through the first post of this thread which has all the information. Should you still have a question, let us know and we'll help you!

The Kindle edition of Arkady Martine's science fiction novel A Memory Called Empire is currently on sale for $2.99 on Amazon.com!
I shamelessly bought it yesterday and will be reading it in June.
Would anyone be interested in buddy-reading it with me?
Tiitle: A Memory Called Empire
Author: Arkady Martine
Genre: Science Fiction (space opera)
Pages: 472 (Kindle edition)
Nominated month: June

Dear John by Nicholas Sparks in June,
The Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris in July,
Cell by Stephen King in August :)

I'll read this with you, Eirelyn. I have always been curious about John Green books, but never quite found the motivation to read one.

Mena, assuming that you're okay with reading Looking for Alaska in August, buddy read has been confirmed.

I want to read that one like crazy, but I cannot in June. If you decide to go later, I will join you! Thanks!

Long Bright River by Liz Moore
Mr. Nobody by Catherine Steadman
The Other People by CJ Tudor
Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli
Courting Darkness by Robin LaFevers (#1 in series, want to read #2 also)
Spin the Dawn by Elizabeth Lim (#1 in series, want to read #2 also)
Mods, if no one responds then you can take these off the spreadsheet because I can only do them in June or July because of when my library hold comes through.

Thank you!

What is the Courting Darkness one like, in terms of what you and I have been Buddy Reading? Thanks! (It would have to be July, if we go for it, and if that works for you...)

Just looked up Courting. I am IN! Can we do that in July, then figure out the sequel for when you can get it? THANKS!

Ruthie and Shareen, Courting Darkness is confirmed for July.
Shareen and Naomi's, it is too late to add May Buddy Reads, but I have confirmed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince for June.
Rachel and Shareen, when you agree on a month to read Where the Crawdads Sing I will confirm it.
