Rule change: Since we've gotten stuck, I’m changing the rules. You can add, delete, or change one or two letters (which can be nonconsecutive), but don’t rearrange the letters in the previous word. Sometime in the future I'll probably put up a game where we can also rearrange the letters.
It is the first thing that comes up when you Google the word "bady" - if you consider it a source and agree with the meaning. But yes, without rearranging letters, badly does not have anything to change to. I used multiple sources and nothing came up without rearranging the letters.Bady - Urban Dictionary
https://www.urbandictionary.com › define › term=Bady
A spelling of baby for people (usually people who think they are gangsters) who are particuarly retarded.
With that I will go switch it to - Bald

Anyway, with the new rules, the word baldly could be created from both badly and bady; I did that intentionally. Baldly becomes bald. Bald becomes
scald
