I just went to check and it appears I haven't introduced myself. I am living in Colorado, married, 61, with 2 grown sons. I love to read and cannot remember learning to read. One summer I stayed with my grandparents while my parents were in school. My grandmother thought I should play outside more, so she restricted me to reading only one book a day. And I promptly started checking out the biggest books I could from the library. Consequently, I didn't actually read many children's classics from that time period (I was 8), and got to find them and read them as my boys were growing up.

It's good to be here, this is a great group!

Play outside more, rather than read? Boy, if only I could get my kids to READ more... ha ha haha
