Michelle Arnold | 2 comments Very type-A female scientist is in the Amazon or somewhere working on a prestigious grant project. Part of it involves monkeys, and she has one particular monkey she's pretty fond of. A youngish man comes to the project to interview her - turns out to be son she gave up for adoption who's come under false pretense. WHAT IS THIS BOOK?

Myrthe (myrthev) | 1 comments I want to know which book this is as well!! I think the genre may be thriller.
One thing I can add to the description is that her research is about ageing/caloric restriction in monkeys.

Mai | 1280 comments A review of this book came up searching "novel" "scientist" "gave up for adoption" "monkeys":
The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin.

It seems like there are more stories in the book, though. The book is about four siblings. The last story is about Varya and it sounds just like your descriptions!

Michelle Arnold | 2 comments THIS IS IT! wow, I thought I'd read a whole book but this makes sense that I can only remember a story's worth. I really enjoyed it and highly recommend! Thank you!!!
