Caroline Havenhand | 88 comments The 'Dance Sequence' is a set of six books spanning from the late 70s up until 2005 by Aidan Chambers that, he says, "chart adolescence" (although not a series, these books are linked by common adolescent themes). Personally, I think he captures it quite well, though some of the older novels do seem a little dated now in terms of language and concepts (some households not having a phone etc). Despite this, I think they are absolutely brilliant and I'd recommend any of them to anyone, particularly his last two, Postcards from No-Man's Land and This is All: The Pillowbook of Cordelia Kenn

The Sequence in chronological order:
Breaktime
Dance on My Grave
Nik, Now I Know
The Toll Bridge
Postcards From No Man's Land
This Is All The Pillow Book of Cordelia Kenn

Maddie (showjumperpro) I've started reading "This is All," and so far I love it. It's funny, inspiring, etc. etc. Somehow, it reminds me of both "The Confessions of Georgia Nicolson" (series) and "The Joy Luck Club." Like a fusion of the two...

Caroline Havenhand | 88 comments Aw, I'm glad you like it! You'll have to let me know what you thought about it once you're finished - I don't know anybody else who has read it, so it'd be nice to see what someone else thought =]
