My name is Nancy, I am from Montana. I love to read and will read whatever interests me at the moment. I found this group when I was looking for something inspirational to read.
Hello everyone, I am Luzi from RussiaI don't have a favorite genre, but I love books that make me cry or laugh and prefer not to read ones that make me scared.
I haven't been reading much for the last couple of years so I just want to come back to books, will try 15 next year
Hi to everyone, I'm Furkan. Living in Turkey.Historical fiction, horror, crime and mystery is my favorites, yet I'm always keen on reading different kinds of genres.
We live in a fast-reading and fast-publishing society. I am unable to follow new releases anymore. So I decided that joinin a reading group will help me to track new releases and read them with real people and also to discuss them as well.
I'll be happier if I'm able to connect with people and to understand how come they can read books efficiently and properly.
Hi, there!!I'm Anne or Annie, as you prefer, from Spain, but half-German and Danish. I've been living in Colombia (South America) for 11 years.
I love sci-fi, fantasy, classics, mystery and thriller books mainly, but I enjoy nearly everything except self-help or too much smut.
I found the group here just looking for challenges.
My reading goal this year was 100 boks and I surpassed it a few months ago, so it'll be a couple more next year; still haven't decided the exact number.
I'm so excited to start actively participating in this group!
You can add me if you want.
Bear hugs!
Hey guys, I am from India, and is trying to catch up with my reading list of 2020. Corona seriously affected my reading habits and I am hoping that I will find wonderful challenges and buddies with whom I can read books. Happy reading...;)

So sorry to hear about your friend and glad you want to push your boundaries!!
Great getting to know you a bit.

Welcome everyone so happy you found us. there is so much still in store for 2020 and so much planned for next year! Happy reading can't wait to get to know you.
Hello everyone! My name is Lennon, some people call me Len, either one is okay with me. I am from the southwest USA. I generally enjoy romance or fantasy books but I am trying to expand my interests by reading different genres. My goal is to read more classics, adult/mature books, and maybe even poetry. I found this group while scrolling through the list of groups, just looking for a group of people to share my readings with and to encourage/challenge me to read more.
Hello,
I’m Julie from the US . I like to read a variety of books depending on my mood.
I won’t bother to set a yearly goal for 2020, since I just joined and only have a month left.
I’ve always been a big reader , but this year, life has been too distracting and my reading has been sporadic at best. I don’t have all my books filled in yet, but I’m guessing I may have only read about 12 this year.
I used to be on Goodreads , but took a break for awhile. I’m hoping I’ll get enthused by reading again by signing up in here.
I’d also like to send a special thank you for the welcome letter. It’s nice to have a welcome when you’re new and don’t know anyone yet !

HI! I'm Tara from upstate NY (our definitions may vary but I can assure you I'm far enough up the Hudson!).I used to be a voracious reader but life and kids threw a monkey wrench into things. I'm trying to make it more of a priority. My trouble is I'm spread so thin with crochet projects and keeping up with the kiddos that by the time I get a second to read, I read the same paragraph 8 times before dozing!
I'm a bit all over the place with what I like to read. I have a bit of historical fiction, nonfiction, and fantasy on my TBR list and for the first time in nearly a decade my TBR list is substantial! I can't wait to stay awake long enough to tuck into it all :)
Hi! I did listen to audio books when I had a super long commute. I got away from it b/c I couldn't justify the expense. I've thought about getting into it again though. Maybe not for everything; some books I want to manhandle 😊
Hi, new friends! My name is Leslie and I’m a Bookstagrammer from Katy, Texas. I love historical fiction, literary fiction, UpLit, and nonfiction. I‘ve been a member of the Katy Book Club for five years and I’ve been leading it for two and a half.
Welcome everyone! So happy to have you join us! We are on our way of starting to plan for 2021! There is still time to get some great reads in whether your reading or listening or both. I am glad you chose to read with us.
Hi all 👋 I'm Kelly from Louisville, KY, USA. I've been around Goodreads for a few years in the PopSugar and ATY groups, and while I discovered some great books and authors that way, I also felt a lot of (totally self-inflicted) pressure to finish books I didn't like in order to keep my numbers up. So I'm going to take a year away from the themed challenges and aim for a modest 40 books to give myself some breathing room. Hey, I have baking projects to do and fanfiction to write, too 🤷🏻♀️During the pandemic I've found myself turning to a lot of fantasy, historical fiction, mysteries--anything to take my mind off reality! For 2021 I'd like to read some more science fiction (a relatively new genre for me) and return to my first love, history! Will this be the year I finally read Citizens: A Chronicle of the French Revolution??
Tara wrote: "I'm a bit all over the place with what I like to read. I have a bit of historical fiction, nonfiction, and fantasy on my TBR list..."It sounds like we have a lot of overlap in what we like to read! I'm definitely going to check out your "Want To Read" shelf 👀
Hi ,My name's Leena and though Im originally from Mumbai, I now reside in Dubai with my husband and 2 daughters. I have always been a reader but its just gotten better and more voracious across the years. I love reading a lot of crime, suspense thrillers and romance.
I like to-read a lot of self help and books qritten on meditation etc. Im not very fond of biographies.
I came across this group just by chance. A GR friend of mine is a member and I was keen to know more and join. Ive gone through the past threads and am eagerly looking forward to the challenges.
Hi, everyone. I've just joined this group, started going through the lists and realized how many brilliant novels I have read. In the past. Time to get to readin'. I mostly read nonfiction in the mind/body/spirit category, as this is what I am interested in and write about myself.
Welcome to you all happy to have you! Only a month to get all your challenges completed I can't wait to see what 2021 brings us in new books!
Hi! I’m Zoe :)I’m a 21 year old college student in North Carolina, USA. I read just about everything but I really like books with a lot of emotion or weird books. Also I really like horror, literary fiction, ya, biographies, and sometimes thrillers.
Hi Everyone,My name is Megha from India. I have always enjoyed reading and picked it up on a more regular basis recently. I almost always pick fiction in all genres, though haven’t read much of sci fi and fantasy!
I intend to read close to 100 books in 2021 covering all genres.
Looking forward to share more reading experiences!
Hello everyone 😄
Hey! My name is Sebastian from Puerto Rico. I love reading, but since the pandemic started, the chaos hasn't let me sit down and read, but I'm looking forward to changing that soon. Read a lot in middle and high school, like many here, and college (then the pandemic) sort of got in the way. Looking to get back into reading and looking for Goodreads friends to fire up my feed and motivate me. I enjoy Sci-fi, historical fiction and nonfiction, mystery, horror (big Stephen King fan!), and realistic fiction, but I'm definitely open to any other genre. Let me know if you have any suggestions!
Hi everyone,I'm Katrin from Germany.
I love reading cozy mysteries and enjoyable books in general. My favourite books last year were "The seven deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle" by Stuart Tuton, "Another Fine Mess" by Tim Moore and the Little House series by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
I am excited to see which treasures I will discover in 2021.
Hey everyone! :) I'm Anne from Germany. I'm in the final phase of becoming a teacher so the next year will be very busy for me. I used to read a lot but with all the work for university I kind of neglected the pleasure reading part and I'm just now starting to build up my reading habit again. I'm interested in many different genres, just whatever sparks my interest and currently I'm really into the idea of travelling the world via books. I hope this group can motivate me to reach my goals and inspire me with some interesting challenges.

Hello all.I am Wim from Antwerp. Crazy about books and all kinds of impossible challenges.
One of my biggest weak points is reading more then I really can manage and still be unsatisfied with my reading. Another one is impatience, ask my wife and 2 kids
Looking forward for. Talking to you
Hello everyone. I am Zamira from Mexico. I just joined this group and am happy to share comments and read books together with people who enjoy them as much as I do. I have always liked to read, I stopped doing it a few years ago, but this year the quarantine forced me to be at home and look at all the books that I had forgotten and start reading again ... I am delighted to meet you and I hope we enjoy together of many stories :)
hi, im winter from new York. i love reading, my favorite genres are YA, fantasy and Sci-fi. I have never done a reading challenge and am excited to start.
Hello, I'm Jameelah. I'm from the US. I found this group randomly on Goodreads and thought it looked fun! My absolute favorite types of books are character-driven ones, not necessarily plot-driven ones. I also love slice of life and sports manga! I'd like to read 100 books in 2021 but that's a lofty goal when I tend to average about 50 a year so we'll see how that pans out. :)
Hi, I'm Jaida and I'm from Sydney, Australia. My favourite genres are fantasy, YA and contemporary novels right now. I've done this reading challenge twice now and only just found out there was a Goodreads reading group. My reading goal this year was 50 but I'm currently up to 79 books.
Hi everyone. I'm Rachael from ND USA. I found good reads by accident while looking for a way to save all of the books I have read and all of the books I want to read. I did the challenge last year. I am hoping to be more active on here and involved in some discussions on these tales. I dabble in a little bit of everything though I tend to gravitate towards fantasy, Dark fantasy, and adult, and I love a funny book. This year I want to expand my reading into other genres more.
Hi, I am Petra from The Netherlands, Europe. I write so I don't read as much as I want to. That is going to change in 2021. I have made a list of 16 books so far I would like to read next year. I hope I will do so.
Hello, my name is Chiara and I'm from Italy.
I love to read fantasy, historical fiction, thriller, and the occasional chick-lit and YA.
This year I found out I love a good romance to cleanse my palate.
I read mostly in English but one of my goals for 2021 is to balance my reading between English and Italian.
I've yet to decide my reading goal and I'm trying to amplify my enjoyment of reading by doing group activities.
The serious goal I have for this year is to make a dent in my owned TBR and to stop to buy new books.
Hi I’m Lacey, can’t remember if I’ve introduced myself here before but don’t think I have. I’m 25 from England. I’ve always read something but only started reading seriously and getting the point of Goodreads this year. I read a little of all sorts but mainly Ya of varying genres. I’m hoping to participate in some challenges next year for the first time but the technical side of participating in challenges might be tricky because I’m new and a screen reader user so will see how this goes haha.
Hi Everyone. I'm Amanda, live in Ohio (US). I joined the group to provide motivation to get back to what I love....reading. Due to the hussle and bussle of everyday life, I haven't read much over the last couple of years. I have made reading a priority for 2021. I love fantasy/ sci-fi, historical fiction. I tend to veer towards book series as I have such difficulty with loving books with no more story. Also, I want to read the books before the are turned into movies.
I am up for reading buddies/ suggestions/ reviews.

Hey everyone, I'm Kali! I'm 26 and from the USA. I found this group completely by accident while looking at random groups on the site, and decided that this looked fun and worth joining. I used to love reading when I was younger, and once I got busy with work I fell out of the habit, but this year I've picked up a decent amount of books again and would like to maintain that. I've primarily read YA fantasy in the past but now that I'm older I've been branching out more into adult books. I'm still a huge fantasy fan, but I've also been giving more historical fiction and thrillers a chance too. Overall I'm willing to give any genre a chance as long as the book is good.
Hi everyone, I am Begüm from Turkey.
I love reading graphic novels. My favorite graphic novels are: Maus, Persepolis, The Photographer (in that order.)
I found this book while looking for a group to motivate me to read more books in 2021.
Take care.
Hi! I'm Chika. I'm a Nigerian med student studying in Ukraine. I love to read fantasy, mystery/thriller... mainly YA, but I'm down to read any genre to be honest :)
Hi everyone! I am Shannon, I am from south central USA. I like to read most anything, but romantic-suspense is my comfort zone. I have recently gotten into sci-fi and fantasy and have loved the community that comes with it. I found this group mostly by accident and wanted to get more involved with reading and goodreads as a whole. I think in 2020 I read maybe 5 books and I want to double that this year at least! Life and work got in the way and I really missed reading! I love reading reviews and would like to get more involved with that side of goodreads as well!
hi everyone, I'm Mitali :) I've always used GR but never thought about coming across groups like these and i'm looking forward to keeping up to date with everyone.I have decided to take a break from work life and am currently taking a break and wanted to get back into reading after years of neglecting it after high school.
I would love some help into easing myself into getting back into reading and enjoying it without getting overwhelmed. any help is appreciated thank you :+)
