I'm Shreya. During this pandemic, I started reading books as a hobby and somehow developed an interest in reading one for a month and then one for a week. Now, setting my reading challenge to 10 books per month. I would love to get any recommendations for books.
Thank you.

I hope everyone is having a good day/evening depending.
I decided to join this group because it seems realistic lol and not too complicated.
I wanted to read 50 books this year and have only read 16. I don't think I'm going to make my goal but I'm having fun. I like to read a lot of things. I am in a book group online using Discord which is fun but the books we read there are purposely 'difficult' in one area or another.
I've read Water For Elephants a ways back (I liked it) so will begin with the October read here and go from there.
Wishing you happiness and thoughtful contemplation....

My reading goal for this year is 100 books (looking good so far)!
Oh before I forget: if anyone wants to add me on Goodreads and/or Instagram ( katiecatsbookishlife is my name there) I'd appreciate it.
Started a Netgalley account and I really need to work on my social media if I want to get approved for "the good stuff" :)
If any of you have some good tips about Netgalley or Bookstagram I´d love to have a chat!

I proudly wrote my first book review ever on "The Education of Dixie Dupree" by Donna Everhart, which has also given me an entirely new skillset to work toward. I really enjoy reading book reviews from others to gain perspective as well as a guide to help me reach for books that I am sure to enjoy. But, I especially love the idea of having a platform where reading is entirely encouraged and that I am able to use as a tool to make recommendations to other book-loving friends!
I am currently reading "Women Who Run With the Wolves", by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, PhD.. . slowly chewing off small bits at a time and digesting them, while I wait for my next book to arrive in the mail! I am also on Instagram as embracingjoy, where I photo journal a bit about random, every day life, thoughts/quotes & the ones I love most.

I understand that it isn't quite a good time to join yearly challenges, as the year is almost over :), but I thought maybe I should do it now and start with developing a healthy reading habit again.

I am from Boulder, CO.
I love anything fiction, but am especially drawn to classics, especially those from the 20th century. I'll always go for a good suspense, historical fiction, or romance as well.
I found this group just by scrolling.
My goal: 40 books this year.

I really like the idea of this group, but question: do you change your title every year? Like, will you change this group to 2021 Reading Challenge next year?
Also, on my reading goal. Initially, it was just 50 books, but now it's 155! I don't know how it happened, so don't ask me why!
Happy to be a part of this group :)

I’m Veronica from
Mexico! I love historical fiction books and my favorites are “the Nightingale” by Kristin Hanna and “Dime quien soy” by Julia Navarro!
I’m currently reading “City of Girls” by Elizabeth Gilbert and I’m enjoying the book!
My goal this year was 20 books but with the pandemic I already read 23 books so now my goal is 30 books! I hope I can make it!

I'm Derek from Indiana, USA.
I mainly read SciFi/Fantasy but since I already hit my 2020 reading goal am aiming to mix it up with some different types of books.
My goal this year was 104 books but I've already achieved that.
Next year I'm going to shoot for 208.
I'm looking forward to getting interesting suggestions for books and series that may be interesting.

What genres interest you the most? I'm sure you can get lots of recommendations here.

I've been a member of Goodreads for a while but have never used groups, so I'm looking forward to this new experience.
My goal this year was originally 50 books. I've reached that already so I'm aiming for 60 - if I can make it to 100 I will be super happy =)

Nice to have you in our group. The group name changes automatically for next year. You don't have to do anything once you are here.
Wow 155 books good luck to you with that goal. Mine is currently to read a book a week and so far I think that I will be able to accomplish that.

I was forced to stop working back in February due to some immigration problems, so I took the opportunity to start reading more again. I just recently completely my 40 book reading goal that I set for myself during all these months! I love reading historical fictions, romance and thrillers! I've also been trying to diversify my bookshelves, both authors and genre!
Can't wait to join in on some discussions with you all :)

I have decide to complete at least 25 books this year.

Hey! My name is Helen and I live in England.
I love to read Literary Fiction, Non-Fiction, Pyschological Thrillers, Fantasy (Mythology and Arthurian) YA and Romance.
My goodreads goal is 150 books! My goal is never usually that high, with having a child and work I find it hard to hit 30. But with the pandemic and thanks to Audiobooks, I have been able to listen to great books whilst adulting.
I came across this group on the popular section whilst looking for groups to join

I intend to read 20 books this year and look forward to making friends and receiving recommendations.

My name is Valerie and I live in California. I was browsing through groups to find new book ideas and thought this one would be perfect to keep me motivated and reading! I like all kinds of books, but I seem to lean mostly toward non-fiction and historical fiction. I have set my goal for 30 books this year. I've only read 12/30, but I'm currently reading books 13, 14, and 15 so crossing my fingers I'll be able to reach it!

Welcome Alyse! Goodreads is so fun, it got me back into reading a couple of years ago as well. It's nice to read with others, I enjoy the TBR Twins and Buddy Reads a lot in this group. Audiobooks help me to read more than I used to as well.
What's your favorite Sci-Fi? Last year I read Children of Time and it blew my mind! So if you're looking for a new sci-fi to get you back into reading I'd highly recommend it.

My Name is Ashley and I'm from Virginia(USA). I like to read thrillers, Contemporary Romance, and Romance in general. I found this Website by trying to find out ways to read free ebooks and stumbled across this website. I was in another group and I wanted to socialize with everyone and the people there told me it wasn't a socializing group so I looked for a new one. What they didn't know is I have been through alot lately and talking to someone helps me so yeah. I saw this groups description and just knew it was the right one for me! My reading goal for 2020 is 200 books, so I better get reading! Have a great weekend everyone!👍😅👍

Looking for a group to keep me motivated and offer book suggestions.
Looking forward to being here :)
