maybe find a topic or genre that interests you? The lists section on goodreads can help you can even narrow the search to something like "Dragons YA" or "sports fiction," etc. hope this helps.

I’m in the 2020 reading challengers read 24 books this year, I’m a bit behind but currently reading The Nine Tailors by Dorothy Sayers. A mystery in post WWI England. I look forward to hearing what others are reading and adding to my ever expanding “to be read” list!

I am Nagan from India (Kerala),i like to read non fiction books on physics, cosmology, biology and religion.
My goal for 2020 is to read 25 books.

I've never been involved with a group on Goodreads and thought it might be fun to give it a shot. My goal is 36 books, but I'm hoping to finish more.

I’m Anders from Norway (southern part).
On my spare time I read books.
I have not been a member of goodreads for that long. Joining this group seems like a good idea.
I like to read non-fiction but bumps into fictions and essays once in a while. I set my 2020 goal at 16 books, but will probably increase the number soon.
Currently I read “The idiot” by Dostojevskij. A big step outside my main core of interest. Let’s see how it goes, might be I fall in love with classics!
Cheers!

My name is Ashley. I just joined the group a few days ago. I love reading fiction and classical books. Som non-fiction as well. I’m also starting to get into philosophy books!
My reading challenge for this year is 20 books but I’m hoping I will be able to read more than that!
I’m happy to be apart of the group!

I'm Asia, from Canada. I have a long break so I'm trying to read as much as possible. I love fictional books, any genre as long as the story is well-written, but I especially like YA. I also love writing and get inspired by books to do so. My goal this year would be to read 12 - 20ish books (just because I'm always busy) but I'd love to read more and discover new kinds of books, which is why I thought I'd join this group.

I like to read fiction, both classic and new. I am currently obessess with 'My Dark Vanessa' it quickly became on of my favorite books. I also enjoy non-fiction, memories and essays especially.
I am trying to read 18 books this year, which with two little kids and working full time seemed hard, but I am on a roll right now!

I was a person who may read one book in a year , in 2020 after sequence inspiring friends and famous person's talks , I took a challenge in feb 23 2020 that i will read one book in a week. This is my 54th day completed 9 books .
GoodReads give a very good Support in this challenge.
36 books in 2020 is my personal challenge

I’m Mireli and I’m from Curaçao currently living in The Netherlands. I joined this group to stay motivated and to finally finish a reading challenge. I used to be able to read for hours, but I kinda lost my motivation.
I like to read fiction, non-fiction (History, self improvement, religion based), thrillers, biography, mistery and, a lot more😊
So here goes my 2020, 20 books reading challenge!

Am Ansu from India.
I like to read fiction mainly crime, thrillers, action-packed one but I try out all genres. So, in general, I read all fiction. Very recently I started classics as well. I joined good reads last year but was not using it at all. So now I decided to be more active. I am looking forward to getting some suggestions. When I read books I can read continuously but then comes a phase where I cannot even finish 1 book for months so I kept my 2020 challenge at 12 books. Hope will be able to outrun it.

I am Chantal, from Canada. I read mostly in English but often also read in French.
My personal challenge this year is to read genres I don’t normally gravitate towards. I’ve gone through a list of bestsellers for every genre and am starting there.
I found this group while scrolling through Goodreads.
Happy reading !

I have always loved reading, from a young age. Some of my favourite genres are: psychological thrillers, romance, erotica, police procedural, some self-help, paranormal romances & mysteries. I also have a nice little collection of true crime that I’m looking forward to tackling.
I don’t like manga, comics (Archie & Jughead comics very rarely are the exception) or picture books. I don’t do children’s books & YA is a genre that I’m very picky/fussy with. Chic lit is rarely something I’ve enjoyed & popular reads are, in my limited experience, often overhyped. Nothing that can’t wait to be read usually.

My name is Giang. I'm from Vietnam.
My favorite book genes are currently historical fiction, history, art, science nonfiction, classic,...
I accidentally bump into this group when I was looking for a place to make friends and talk about books.
This year, I want to read more classic and science nonfiction books.

Happy Reading!

I’m Norine! After a month of snooping around, I’ve finally decided to introduce.
I live in Holland and am 30 years old. I’m used to barely reading a single book a year, to having a reading goal of 1 per week. And so far it’s going great! Participating in the march-challenge with 6 books and only 1 book left to read. So fairly proud as i’ve never done anything like it in the 30 years of my existence.
I really like all sorts of book and like to switch it up. Although I just dont find myself interested in non-fiction. I read chicklits, fantasy, drama, sci-fi, history and all that kinda thing. Really cant commit to one theme!
Cant wait to meer you all!

I’m Dani. I’m just south of Boston - over on the East Coast/New England.
I’m in my last year of undergrad and looking to do a Master’s in English, so I’ve been taking a lot of English classes! My hope with taking them, besides the transcript benefits, has been to increase my reading. So far, so good!
I’ve never been limited to a single genre, but I mostly enjoy realistic fiction, science-fiction, and fantasy. Currently I’m really into Woolf, though, and am making my way through many of her work!
Aside from books: I’m a lapsed powerlifter, I play guitar (relearning after years away!), I knit, I garden, and I’m a writing tutor. I speak bits and pieces of Spanish and Irish, and I’m working on making my Hebrew something beyond pronunciation and a handful of roots. I’m a Women’s & Gender Studies major as well, and my senior Independent Study on Martha Shelley took up a lot of my time last semester. If you’re into early LGBTQ organizingt, lesbian-feminism, etc., talk to me!
Do we have any interests in common? Let me know!

I hope you all are doing great.
My name is Beenysh. I am from Karachi, Pakistan. I've been a movie buff all my life while reading articles, newspapers, sports-related articles, history, etc. But very recently I have developed this love for collecting books. I have read a couple of them this year ( we still aren't halfway yet and I am already doing so good :D). Very recently, I came across this suggestion on twitter made by someone to someone to know history is to read 'The Story of Civilization by Will and Ariel Durant'. I have chalked out a plan of ten books this year. All of them will have to be a hardcopy to make task easy for me, except of course 'The Story of Civilization' ( this I cannot afford).
To cut a long story short, I am to make my point that I've developed an interest in reading, many thanks to my time away from work.
P.S.: This group came as a suggestion. I liked it straightaway.

Cheers.

I'm obviously a huge avid reader, but also I'm the only nerd/geek and avid reader in my family haha. I'm 29 or actually turned 29 earlier this month
I have a bookstagram account I'm on more than my personal account (bookstagram is belles_book_club)
I'm also a sexual abuse survivor 9 years this year and my abuser who was the man I once called dad is now as of this year a couple of months ago in prison for quite some time now and even though I got blamed for talking *eye roll* I feel like my love of reading has helped me cope through trauma, become thereapeutic in so many ways possible and has gotten me through some rough patches and this year ever since after a rough year last year and trying to get through books with the process of my parents' divorce (which was a good thing because he was a narcissist and bipolar and abusive in other ways except for physical), waiting for him to own up to his actions and get him in prison for months after his arrest, and just a lot of things going on, I'm just glad this year for us as practically a new family in a way has become peaceful and we've never been happier since my parents' divorce.
Also I'm GLAD even more to be having an AMAZING reading and audiobook streak far better than any year in a very long time *heart eyes* and speaking of audiobooks, another think about me is I LOOOOVE challenging puzzles and will do/have a 2000 piece (or 1000) puzzle in my room while listening to audiobooks as a background so my sanity is sane for both activities hahaha. It also does wonders and I can even get through 2 or 3 audio books depending on how long they are. 2 at most it seems. :D so win-win for me.
Anyway, that's all I can think of atm and so yeah. You can call me Belle and if you have bookstagram feel free to follow too. If you don't have one then you should start one because it's so much fun ;)

Hope everyone is doing well!

Favorite Genres:

I’m Erin. I’m a history teacher and I’m from a suburb of St. Louis.
I just recently discovered goodreads and it’s been a game changer! I have always been an avid reader but the hobby had gotten away from me the past few years (mom life...)
I’m currently teaching from home due to COVID-19 and I’ve reignited my reading love. My goal is a conservative 50 books this year but at the rate I’m moving, I may blow that away!
I LIVE for domestic thrillers! I eat up the Gillian Flynn and the Liane Moriarty style books!

My favourite genres are historical fiction, YA, romance and thrillers. Also looking for new friends and other book lovers so feel free to add me :)

I’d love to connect with people on this platform to be able to discuss interesting books, it can get quite lonely all by yourself!

I have been enjoying books that have a "twist" in them, as well as books about WWII. My favorite author is Kristin Hannah (I got to meet her a couple of years ago when she was giving a talk on The Great Alone)
Looking for people who like to discuss what they are reading, and maybe get some new ideas to add to my "To be Read" list

I'm a historical novel fan. Currently I'm reading "The Plantagenet and Tudor" saga (by Philippa Gregory). My 2020 goal is to finish the entire saga till December. I'm also a Sci-fi fan (Asimov, Bradbury, Connie Willis and Le Guin are my favourite among others).
Definitely reading and writing are my main hobbies :)
I find this group through a friend.
