Thanks Nicole! Although I liked Marie Lu's writing style I didn't like Legend that much, I hope this is better? :)

I hope everyone is enjoying their picks! I have added so many of the books being read this week to my TBR list and can't wait to get to them.

I am about 1/4 through Mortal Heart and I am absolutely loving it!!

It was quite good, though I am disappointed with the last part where the mystery gets solved. Also it had unnecessary romance that didn't lead to anything much. :(

Yes, insta love is terrible too!! But I think I hate it more when the author throws in a romance that doesn't add anything at all to the story.

Same here. If it had some kind of use, but it felt out of place 90% of the time.
We have a mystery, a storm that ripped through the island, add some die-hard old family stuff/customs. Oh and then magically the guy she kind of had an eye on likes her and they share some kisses but mostly are together for the mystery. It felt like they were friends with benefits instead of lovers. Especially Charlie, I didn't get any vibes from him that said he likes our main character. And it was just a bit too coincidental he was on the island during the time the storm happened (he moved/left some time ago to work somewhere), which also meant he got stuck since the docks got destroyed.

I started it a couple days ago, and loving it so far! I actually started reading it since I saw it as your challenge book and it looked so good :)

Yes, we certainly are. :o) I'm only 32% finished because I'm reading several books right now and I am so busy otherwise. Tomorrow after work I am going to my daughter's CNA ceremony. She's applying to the RN program in May. :o)

I have crashed other blind dates before, but what the heck! LOL

I loved the series. At first I was hesitant to read them so I always put off reading it but they were really good. I definitely recommend reading the series.

Mandiann, thank you, and I'm glad you liked your pick too! I am on ch. 6 of Dissonance, so we'll see. I'm taking my time with it though because I'm not too into it and I'm so behind (as you know)! LOL
