ABANDONED. a shifter paranormal romance title and author

I trying to find a paranormal romance book I read this year that for the life of me I can't remember what its called or who its by or even if it was any good. This is what I can remember of the book:

-Paranormal romance - shifter
-Hero alpha wolf, mated to human female
-(I think) It was city based rather than rural and that they were in college/uni (though these details could be wrong)
-Hero and heroine are best friends and she thinks her attraction is one sided and has no clue how he feels
-Heroine is attacked by rogue shifter in the park and she flees to the alpha
-He conforts and protects her and she feels like she is a burden to him because she runs to him when she has a problem(s)
-I think it was a rather short book like an ebook or something and could have been part of series as other shifters were introduced though not sure.

Thats really all I can remember. Any help would be appreciated. I didn't mark in my library as read so now I cant find it.
