Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments You won't get bored in 2020!

Perhaps we could buddy read Eragon some time in 2020? I'd like to get some other series out of the way first though, before I start something new.

Saar The Book owl | 2648 comments Yes, that's a good idea! Let me know when it fits for you :)

Margo | 11628 comments I tried Eragon last year but the narration was so poor i couldn't carry one. If I can find a better version I may join you.

Saar The Book owl | 2648 comments I don't do narrations, but the book is good. More written like children's books, but it's okay. the movie, though, was bad.

Peggy (pebbles84) | 15868 comments Oh really, like a children's book? Hmm...

Did you read all the books in the series already Saar?

Saar The Book owl | 2648 comments Well, not exactly like children's books, but more YA. No, I've just read the first one.

message 13: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments I have read them all, Peggy. I never thought they were children's books, nor did they feel like it to me. A little YA, only because of the age of the younger characters, but older, more mature. I read each one as they came out, like the Harry Potter books.

message 14: by Cherie (new)

Cherie (crobins0) | 21536 comments Saar - I loved, loved The Host. I really do not want her to write a sequel. I did see the movie, but the book is so much better.

message 15: by Renee (new)

Renee (elenarenee) | 1650 comments Cherie I also enjoyed The Host. I hated the movie. It told the story in the book without feeling. I am having a hard time putting this into words. Books make you feel. Sometimes its for the char. Sometimes its for the story. The movie for me was the story with out the emotions.

I understand, Renee. It really was an amazing experience reading the book. You and I are totally on the same page there. Reading a story is all about the emotional experience for me.

Saar The Book owl | 2648 comments @Cherie: I've mistaked myself a bit with 'Eragon'. It's indeed more written in YA. I still need to read 'The Host'. Years ago I've rad a couple of pages, but then put it aside for a forgotten reason. I think I saw the movie, but I don't know for sure.

Saar The Book owl | 2648 comments January didn't go as planned. Hopefully February will be a better month!
