I have no idea how I read so much this year. Double what I did last year. I work in the lab of a place that makes soaps and hand sanitizer among other things. We've been busy.

I haven't input books since June/July... my numbers have been down since then, too, but I read a fair amount... read 9 Wheel of Time books, 2 Malazan books, a bunch of October Daye and Craig Schaeferverse... some new releases, clearing out my stockpile of series I started this year, etc... probably another 100 books or so... I was kinda shocked I never shifted positions, really... the thought of catching up is daunting...

I started inputting the books I'm behind on... looks like 85 books in 4 months, but alot of tomes... still way down, but on track for about 500 books for the year... started the year on a trajectory for 800 or so, I think...
This convo is pretty funny.
I’m aiming to finish at least a couple more books by tomorrow. I really haven’t been doing audiobooks this year so that extra reading that I planned on never really happened.

I hadn't added my books since May but I've topped it up now and and gained another 108.3 points. Not brilliant but the great reading slump of 2020 has kicked my arse lol.Hopefully I'll finish another book tonight and add another couple of points to the total.
I think I updated my sheet last year in about a week. Tail end of October and into November. It was a lot. I didn't update for half of the challenge. That was a pain! lol
Filled in my points, even if my monthly tracking is completely borked, at this point...
2nd place across the board... Choko out-buddied me, the past couple months... I had a strong start to the year, then just stopped BRing almost completely...
Read nearly 50 tomes this year, big increase for me... great to be focusing less on the most efficient audiobooks vs page counts... tomes tend to be slower...

Well that's it for me!
Didn't read as much as planned because 2020.... but overall happy with the books I got to. Really focused on my owned physical books this year.
I didn't even try to catch up to the top two because I'm convinced they're machines or they don't sleep (which might also tie in with the machine theory).

Forth place for me! I did much better than I thought I would:) I love the spreadsheet so much! And love seeing what you guys are reading too:) I hope we have another one next year!
I'm done, but havent added any new the last few days. It was fun and thanks for joining. I'm hoping for next year :)
Love you all, guys! This group has capped me sane through some really crazy times this year and I am eternally grateful ❤️!!!

OCTOBERMade a big push, went crazy on Agatha Christie, reckon I read almost a book a day this month. Travelling Matchmaker were small books, little more than novellas (<150 pages, could do 2 a day) and the others were mostly really breezy AC rereads that went real quick. Thassit. Thank you so much everyone.
I've exceeded my yearly reading of previous years by a significant margin. However, just by looking across the room at the stacks on top of the piano, I notice I've read a lot more manga, since for a while I didn't have access to English books. That, and a lot of fluffy romance; it has been an escapist kind of year. Not so many epic series, but instead a lot of short volumes, flitting from one thing to the next. This October though! I was picking up something new every day, which I haven't done since I was a kid! Double or triple what I usually go through.
I think my favorite read of the year so far was This Is How You Lose the Time War. What has stood out for you all?
Way to go Zaara! *high fives* That's quite the impressive list! I love it when you binge a certain author, and you hit a stride, just gobbling up one after another! (I also see some Marillier snuck in there, I've been meaning to read her again, eyeing her new warrior bard series.)
@Zaara : I updated June and July for now ! Also hi to everyone. I'm sorry I've not been really active this year (I mean, it's not that unsual for me unfortunately...) but I still like filling my spreadsheet and looking here even when i'm not posting ^^

I doubt I'll hit the numbers I hit in 2020 ever again. We could put Iain, Choko & me on the same team. Then everyone else can kick our butts. lol
