Can anyone recommend me some good Rory Gilmore type books? I'm thinking dark academia with a good love story!

This is a mystery that I wouldn't say is dark but there are definitely some dark spots. There is a lot of drama with family issues, people dying, and even a teenage pregnancy.
There is a love subplot but it isn't a huge part of the series. It is a sweet romance with nothing but kisses. I got very excited when they finally became a couple! :)
Sorry I don't have any other recommendations that are more suited to what you wanted but I thought I'd at least mention this series.
I just joined Goodreads this weekend and am currently re-watching Gilmore Girls for about the millionth time, so finding this group was perfect!

Hi everyone! :-) Never participated before but thought it was about time to join the discussion. I just finished reading Maus I. I will read The Bielski Brothers next. And The Illiad is on my list but haven't had the courage to start it yet!

I think Rory Gilmore would read Lovely War I highly recommend, and it has cute kinda of type romance. I love this book I think y’all would love it too:)

I haven't been active for quite awhile but I finally have a llittle more free time to read and I just finished Angela's Ashes. Great read but very sad what Frank McCourt had to endure his during his years growing up in Ireland.
I am currently reading the 2021 Helen Ruffin reading book list (its a reading competition) and there are some good books in there! Currently reading Punching the Air by Ibi Zoboi and Yusef Salaam
Hi, I'm new here. Watching Gilmore girls for the first time and enjoying every minute, currently on season four (trying to savour each episode and not watch them too quickly). I'm currently reading The Count of Monte Cristo and The Song of Achilles. I found the Rory Gilmore reading challenge 2022 and am aiming to complete that one.

Same as Estelle! Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like this group is still active :( I loved when we chose the book for the month and discussed it with everyone
