The story was intense and I liked the writing.

I really enjoyed this one. There were some surprises thrown in and I loved how the author brought previous characters into the story.

Does anyone else like the character of Chief Inspector Morley? I think he would make a good hero for this series.

I do, Robin. I’m glad he’s a recurring character.

I'm looking forward to the next story, as well, with a Highlander in the leading roll.

I like Morley more this second book, I think. He seems to have turned the corner in his infatuation with another man's wife -- somehow, and has his focus on true justice. At least, I hope so.

I looked too. There are so many interesting supporting characters I wanted to see who gets their own story.
