Nicole aka Nr (sailingchick97) If you think it is relaxing...and your just goling to be sitting in the boat...sailing is not like that...it is so crazy!!!! In high wind...you have to hike out(lean over the boat) and its so much fun!!!

Larry (hal9000i) Oh I'd love to venture on a sailing ship! Closest I've been to it is a trip on a metal hulled fishing boat at Scarborough-well I presume it was a fishing boat anyway, but we were out at sea, having a cuppa, sea all around-great stuff! But to go on a sailing ship like the Tenacious or Christian Radich-now that would be fantastic!

Yes, there are many, many large sailing "cruise liners" these days. There's a fleet of them operating out of Tahiti that sail to Bora Bora and back with many stops in the Isles Sous le Vent along the way. My wife and I circumnavigated the Pacfic in our 41-foot sailboat from 1990 to 1993 and we still live aboard her.

It was fun. Shameless plug: Check out my Author page or my book, "Sex, Lies & Spinnakers." If you want to find out what cruising in a small sailboat can be like, but want to be entertained by a murder mystery wrapped in a sea adventure at the same time, you might enjoy it.
