Re The Relentless Moon.
There are so many date triggers and event happenings in this series. It is so wrenching. The polio epidemic on the moon and the symptoms brings back so many memories for me. I have to keep reminding myself of the year this is taking place. I remember getting my Salk vaccine on a sugar cube in the summer, just before school started. We had to go to the elementary school closest to our house. I know it was the summer just before I started 6th grade. I’m pretty sure it was 1963 but I may be off a year. I do not recall ever knowing exactly how it was transmitted. My mother got it when she was pregnant with my youngest brother in 1956

The dialogue and the insights into Nicole’s thoughts and experiences were fascinating. I love the attention to detail and research that the author has done to get the stories in this series just right. (view spoiler)[ I felt the ending was a little compressed. Did you? (hide spoiler)]
