Sherri, is Awesome! Much Kudos to her for keeping me addicted to her DH & Weres!

Exactly, Daisy! Very well put! Sherri has an undeniably talented way of making you really, truly care about her characters- some more than others. And yet, none of them are one dimensional. They all have different aspects in different situations that make them addictive to read about!
God, I always forget about Jared and Jaden! (I still get those two confused! LOL) I am SOOO interested to find out even more about them!
Oh, agreed! Very much agreed! Acheron was an AMAZING book- truly, the thing deserves some serious accolades! Honestly, if I had but once wish, it'd be that I could run up and just hug Ash in real life- would but he existed! LOL Your heart just innately hurts for him, and you can't help but admire him and love him all the more for his strength and love! :)
All Hail The True Author Goddess! LOL
That woman knows how to write characters and worlds like nobody's business!

An Ever Loving, Life Long, Until Hell Freezes Over Fan!
Lol
I never thought I would find myself just about obsessed with characters from a book series. But she has opened a door to a whole new world for me. And trust me, this world has become so much more interesting than the one Im currently living in. I just can't get enough! Seriously no jokes! LOL
Well if your one wish ever comes true...PLEASE send Ash my way!! Now that's one tall dark Goth God I would take a bite out of! Ahha
With each addition to her series I am drawn in more. Just when I think that she couldn't surprise me!
She Does!
& now I have to wait until August to get my fix. it will be well worth the wait.
Since the moment Dev entered the series in Night Embrace I have been waiting for Sherri to bring him to his own. And now we get to find out what will happen when a Were-Hunter & Dark Hunter mix. Ahh
Oh & Im going crazy waiting to find out how The DH react when they find out The Damians new little secret.
From:
-An Obsessed Fan Needing A Fix

(Dies laughing- awesome!)
I know exactly, word-for-word what you mean! I've been reading Sherri's books since 2004 and have never, not once, been disappointed with her books, writing, characters- nothing! She is as sweet and good a person as she is talented! Which is even more amazing, no doubt.
*Laughs!* Share Ash! *Insert offended, shocked gasp!* Is that even POSSIBLE!? *Dies laughing* Just kidding :P Would that it were, no doubt!
Dev is truly an interesting character! He is so likable and I'm dying to see his heroine come in and knock him on his butt :P.
*Shocked gasp!* Shame on me for forgetting! I SO hope that The Damian's secret plays a big part in this upcoming novel! It just HAS to!
In a way, though, I predict that it will seriously change the nature of the DH/Damian relation. Not all of them, of course, but for the large part of Stryker's crew and those of similar mind who just want to live a normal life, I think this is really going to be a double-edged sword concept for our "baddies." To some degree I think it will cause some of the Damien's to stop killing humans, but for the jerks and evils of the group, it's going to get a whole lot more deadly!
*Rubs hands together and laughs excitedly!* I can't wait!!!!

I have only been reading Sherri close to 5 months now but I from what I've read about her she is just amazing! The love, passion & dedication she puts into her writting , has kept me loyal to all of her incredible books.
Heck I've only really been reading steadily for the past few months. But not I'm addicted, & have to get my fix in when I can. Now I have to wait for No Mercy it's agony! So I'm thinking I should just start over from "Fantasy Lover" and see how long it takes me to finish the series. Now that I own the series and don't' have to wait for them to come in from the Library.
Okay so my deepest apologies *Not* on asking you to share Ash. Can you blame a woman for trying?! Ha I know that I would NEVER be able to. I just can't get enough of him. Now you may be one of the only ppl who could answer this for me, LOL Did Acheron actually curse Nick at the end of the book "Dream-Hunter" rather than in "Seize the Night? A friend who I just got hooked on our Loving DH asked and well I'm stumped. I have to go back and check. = I re-read. Not that I'd object just if I can get the answer quicker well... ("Any time you need help" rt? lol)
Now I find myself looking back on Ravyn a rare Were-Hunter/Dark Hunter (Omegrion-some form of cat...Can't remember oops) At his death, he was given an act of vengeance against his family by the I love to hate Artemis and became a Dark-Hunter. Now he kept his ability to shift back to his cat form while a still being a DH. I'm thinking that wouldn't be so bad for Dev. Not that I would want to see anything bad happen to him "Dying". But "IF" Sherri were to pull a twist leading us to believe he and Samia would fall in love but be separated by death only to bring him back as a DH , he could still be a Ursulan (bear) that would be so awesome!. We could always use more DH. & now that Artemis has vowed that she will not let another DH go, It could be a good twist to keep the two together.
I know, I know I'm overstepping. I can't halp it. I always do. And of course, I'm always off.
Just letting my mind go.
Oooh, now knowing "The Daimon Secret" what effect might that have on the Apollites that choose not to go Daimon? Would it count against them?
I tend to babble

Actually that's an excellent idea. This is the first time in 6 years that I didn't immediately start my yearly re-read of the DH series in January, but normally I do so every year. It really helps in getting reacquainted with some of your favorite characters or stories, and its the only book series (or book period) that I've ever reread. It would definitely help pass the time until No Mercy, that's for sure! :)
*Laughs* I don't blame you at all! But, alas, I'm sure that if any woman was able to get her hands on Acheron Parthenopaus, none of us would be nice and share! LMAO It'd just be an impossibility beyond thought! No doubt if he existed there'd be massive riots and chaos in the streets!
Okay. *Thinks* I'm 99.99% sure that Ash ended up cursing Nick at the end of Seize the Night, because if memory serves, that's when Nick slept with Simi, which caused Acheron to go into outer orbit.
And in The Dream Hunter, though, since it takes place in the 90s, we see Ash, Nick, and Kyrian together and its back when Nick is much younger and is still Kyrian's squire. M'Adoc enters the scene and makes that comment "you can my future so clearly. It's a pity you can't see your own." This is the reference to Ash loosing his temper in Seize the Night and lashing out at Nick.
As it is, I do need to reread the series, though- I actually had to think a bit on that because I knew that The Dream-Hunter did connect back to Nick and Ash somehow, I just had to think about it first. Hope that helps! :)
Oh, my gosh, Daisy! That is a very good point- Sherri did indeed use a tie-in with the DH/WH with Ravyn. It is definitely something to consider- and who knows, maybe that is a bit of correct foreshadowing. Not to mention the tongue-in-cheek joke where Dev has that double bow and arrow tattoo? Who knows. Maybe it's a hint of what's to come!
And here's something more to consider- Dev isn't human, we know that. But Samia, for all we know, is human since she's a Dark-Huntress. Were Dev to give Samia's soul back, then she'd be human and Dev still not human. Then we get into the whole "who dies quicker/first" concept! So maybe you aren't too far off the mark that Dev might end up going DH! I don't know if we're really overreaching here, but it is definitely something to consider! LOL
Which is awesome! Sherri makes it so tortuously fun to play the what-happens-next game! Especially with pairing up a DH and WH! I can't WAIT to see how that's going to play out :)!
I have a feeling that ingesting the gallu blood might keep Apollites from ever having to go Daimon period! It rocks for the "good" Apollites, like Damien in Devil May Cry...but not so much for the psycho-killer ones that no doubt abound in the series! *Happy laugh* God I can't wait!
PS: It is impossible to "babble" when discussing all things Dark-Hunter :). <-- Pearl of wisdom for the day.

I love all her historicals, and especially her Lords of Avalon. To me, that's probably the most unique series I've ever read outside of the Dark-Hunter series.

In The League Series I think I heard there are 4 as of now... So once I get them all in I'll be going back to "Fantasy Lover"
I can read 2 series at once, but it makes me feel as if I were cheating.
I know, I'm Loca, but I can't get pulled into one world, just to jump into the next without a mini break!
I usually read a book in a sitting so it's probably best for me, to put in another series before restarting DH.
It will only make waiting for No Mercy seem even longer if I finish them all in a month just to wait until August
So you may start the laughing now...........
I went to bed last night shortly after posting my last comment, & yup.
I dreamt of my version of Ash. And I can tell you now, If we blessed to have Acheron Parthenopaus in Flesh & Blood...I WOULD NOT SHARE!!!
See I don't know how I let that slip past me, I should of known that Ash ended up cursing Nick at the end of Seize the Night, but I too knew there was a reference to "The Cursing" in Dream-Hunter.
I absolutely have to reread ASAP
Wow, So along with the little tie-in with Ravyn It almost slipped my mind about Dev's joke of a double bow/arrow tatt! Could these be little hints of what's to come? Hmm I wonder...
Back @ cha Kudos Kudos!
Because now you really got me thinking
If Dev were to give Sam her soul back, he would ultimately outlive her, without a way for the two of them to become immortal or a way to elongate her life right?...
Now bare with me I'm jumping around here...
Wren Tigarian ("Unleash the Night") doesn't his father turn Marguerite? And that was there way of staying together?
Is there any chance of this happening to Samia? Or do you think I'm way off?
I just can't imagine Sherri not giving the two of them a way to always be together.
Please tell me my memory is correct, because if I slip up again, & I'm off with the Wren & Marguerite,
I am totally going to start my reread tomorrow! LOL
It's really fun playing, wondering if were even a little close or completely off!
I'm thinking the same, If gallu blood will keep Daimons alive surely it would for an Apollite, but wondering if they'll go for it.
Will some make the attempt to survive (hopefully succeeding), just for other Apollites to look bad on the ones that choose to?
What ya thinking?

And you're right, Daisey. Born of Night (previously titled Born of The Night, until her re-release) was her first book she wanted to try to publish, and was the last book her late brother Buddy read before his accident, which is why it's so special to her.
I hope ya like it, because The League is definitely a close favorite of mine by Sherri! I doubt it's otherwise, but I do hope the book you've ordered is her newest release of Born of Night. I seriously doubt that it isn't, since the original has been out of print for a while now. But since it's a library, you never really know.
Currently on the shelves, though, there are only three; Born of Night, Born of Fire, and Born of Ice. I do think there will be a short story in her soon-to-be-released anthology In Other Words- which contain all/most of her short stories, I believe. SO can't wait for that! :)
Whoah. Two series at once? Sheesh. Not me. I mean, I can, but I don't like to. I prefer keeping all my focus on one story at one time- which can get SO frustrating since there are about five million other books I want to read simultaneously. I'm so bad about it, though, that I just got Volume 2 of the Dark-Hunter Manga (which is AWESOME I must say!) and I can't even let myself open it up until I finish whichever book I'm reading on at the time. Now THAT'S sad! (So no, hon, you're not Loco! )
*Dies laughing* Aww! (So jealous) Dreams of the Great Ash, or any DH star, would no doubt be awesome! And as such, were he to exist, I doubt any woman on earth would share him! People think fans of real-life stars are crazy now- were that the case, it'd bring a whole 'nother level of crazy to the table!
Ooooh! You're absolutely right, chicky! That DID happen with Maggie and Wren! That is another maybe-possible foreshadowing of what's to happen with Samia! Dang, didn't even think of that one, so no, you are definitely right and on point with that! No need for an immediate reread.
And honestly, that's the only way I see Dev and Samia staying together, because there's no way Dev would or could turn human- he wouldn't want to, anyway, what with needing to live for his family and all.
As for the Daimon/Apollite concept, I absolutely believe it's going to be a potential curse-breaker for our Apolites! I'm not so sure about the whole "just for other Apollites to look bad on the ones that choose to" concept- mainly because I'm having trouble understanding what you mean. The way I see things, though, is this:
In Kiss of the Night, with Wulf and Cassandra, Sherri delves into the idea that Apollites aren't really necessarily evil at heart. They merely want to survive. Some can turn evil, yes, but at their basic level they aren't. She also takes on this concept in Devil May Cry with Damien, whose a Daimon but "eats" only corrupt human souls instead. My theory is that by introducing the gallu and their blood-as-a-curse-breaker concept, I think maybe our standard antagonists are going to be "good guys."
Sherri's always saying, both by her own words and with her characters, that there are two sides to every coin, and three sides to every story- "yours," "theirs," and the truth, which lies somewhere in between. As such, I think that can be applied to the Apollites in how some are good, and some aren't so good, and that this gallu-blood thing is definitely going to make things very interesting, indeed.
(Especially if memory serves me correctly about the fact that once a Daimon/Apollite ingests the gallu blood, they no longer need souls to survive. If that's right and I remember that correctly, things will definitely be a-changing!)
It's also something to remember, too, in regards to Cael and Amaranda. Remember in Dark Side of the Moon where the two end up getting turned to Daimon? I'm almost wondering that perhaps their tragic end isn't so tragic, with taking into consideration the whole Gallu-Blood-Makes-Daimons-Normal thing. I don't know...I might be off the mark, but I think things are looking up for the Apollites.

Although frustratingly enough, despite the fact that I'm currently in my third yearly series reread of the DH books I still have a hard time remembering who Jared is- which I inevitably start pondering on any time I hear/think about about Jaden. Funny how my mind will work like that.
But I'm VERY interested in Thor's character and am so very much looking forward to his book now, too!
The woman is truly amazing! LOL
Dev has always been a lovable character in my book! I am dying to see him finally meeting his match- both emotionally, and equally! It's gonna be great seeing a DH and Were together!! :) Hehe
