I read which was an adorable slice of life manga I will definitely continue
and finally finished listening to which was rather fantastic. Its historical romance in a lot of ways as the marriage of the two MCs plays a huge roll in the story. Little slow to start but was worth sticking with!

Read putting me at 102/80 books for the year! Wanted to read this while I impatiently wait for season 2 of the anime

I miss some solid fantasy with lots of magic and this Raine Benares Series looks like something fun!

I think you should try it Elena! They arent meant to be read all in a row as there is a bunch of recap thrown in. But I find that helpful when I read them months/years apart.

Yes I am! Loving it just havent had a ton of hard copy book reading time! I'm a little over halfway

I got about 25 min into the audiobook. So far its interesting. Always harder to get into the time period where women were only good for marriage and cannot take over a shop but it feels well done at this point.

What did you think of Curse Britt?

[Brittany]

I mostly loved it! The end was meh for me though. (view spoiler)[ two things I didnt love, Lilith and her woman scorned trope that never really lived up to her being an excellent villain. There just wasn't enough substance to her.
And the end Grey being the long lost half brother of Rhen. Not surprising and the way that last chapter was written felt unnecessary. It was just a hook for book 2 and didn't add much to the story itself. Plus I felt his actions weren't completely in character. Here we had super loyal, wonderful Grey and he couldn't return to tell even Harper that he was okay? For somebody like him to run from his past and not deal with it right away just felt a little like cheapening the character. (hide spoiler)]

I need to go back to Camp Half-Blood... I miss it! I still haven't read the Apollo series, mostly because I don't want things to be over 😅

I really enjoyed Lost Hero! It was so fun being back in that world. Just waiting on the library for the next book.

Started I've been on a bit of a historical fiction kick with my listening again.

Also finished , reading a book almost 9 years after reading the first one is always an experience. I do think this would have been better if I had read it years ago because what bothered me might not have been so bad to me then. Its an alright book but the communication issues and Tris' stupidity drove me crazy.

Right?! I am curious enough to read the last book since I own it but I'm not expecting much.

I finished it wasnt good. Until the end it was still a 3 star book but that poorly done "horror" gore to end it just didnt work.

I finished listening to good narration, pretty solid 3.5 star book that was hard to put down for some reason even if it didn't add a ton new to the genre.
