No, I only tried just now though when you said.

It's SO frustrating! I can go to everything except the home page. It keeps just coming up blank, and I've tried many different ways. I've even gone to a friends' home page and clicked on our group from her list of groups but it always comes up blank. So all I can do is go to any threads that happen to show when I first go to GR. Ugh...frustrating!

Ahh, I had that with a book earlier today, no matter how many times I clicked it it was blank. I tried refreshing the page and it worked.

Yeah, I've updated and restarted my computer twice but to no avail. :o(

I did. I emailed Gis and she also had problems yesterday. She said if it continues she'll report it to GR but it's probably a glitch of some kind.

Oh my goodness, I read a couple pages to see what this one was about and I can't put it down...I'm trying to wait!! I do have other buddy reads but the beginning hooked me! LOL

Finished Ch. 5


Although I was really drawn in the first chapter or two, this is definitely not what I thought it was going to be. I'm not sure how much I like it yet. LOL

Piper (view spoiler)[never had much chance in life. I felt SO bad for the rape that Ryan committed on her. Ugh...NO female (or male) should EVER be violated in that way. I can see a young girl feeling "special" if a popular/good looking boy takes her by the hand and to a spot to be private. That is always a red flag! I hated that he took advantage and committed a crime on a girl who was not popular, which would further deflate her self-image. Plus he had to drug her so that she couldn't even say no? UGH! It really makes me sick even though it's fiction! (hide spoiler)]

Ryan (view spoiler)[is such a PIG!!! It's not "good enough" that he used a drug to rape Piper, but he then has to taunt her by winking at her or sitting next to her, etc. Plus she was a VIRGIN and unpopular. What a JERK! (hide spoiler)]

Bree didn't (view spoiler)[deserve to die, but Piper put too much blame on herself. I really liked Bree, too. I'm sad she died. I also wonder why her boyfriend was being such a jerk. (hide spoiler)]

Preston (view spoiler)[was Bree's boyfriend, but I need to hear more about why Bree said he was being such a jerk at that party. I don't know what to feel about him but I do hope we hear more. (hide spoiler)]

Niles (view spoiler)[seems to be okay for what he does. He is an odd person to meet right after you die. Pipers personal Intake Specialist? (hide spoiler)]

I don't think that The Station (view spoiler)[gives the new arrivals much of a choice! I assume Piper will have to pick being a volunteer. Living your own personal hell would be awful!! I can't see anyone picking that! (hide spoiler)]

Every time I read something about (view spoiler)[Mrs. Sweet Big Hair I think of the musical HAIR. LOL (hide spoiler)]

I think one of the funniest parts is what Piper thought was so funny: having to do paperwork in the afterlife! LOL Will we EVER get away from it? Haha!

I thought that Piper (view spoiler)[showed her intelligence when she came up with some creative ways to get into Sloan's head. I wonder if he really is OK! (hide spoiler)]

And what about (view spoiler)[Mrs. Cougar? OMG! I don't care for her at all, especially since she is so loose around her son. (hide spoiler)]

After Joseph (view spoiler)[was sent on his merry ol' way for assisting and encouraging his assignment to commit suicide AND kill other people, I wondered why. I wonder if his assignment was someone he hated. Why would he encourage his assignment to kill others and himself, too? It made me wonder if possibly Piper will get assigned to Ryan. He could feel bad for what he did after learning that Piper killed herself. It seems out of character, but possibly he does feel bad and is suicidal. I hope she doesn't get assigned to him! OK just finished chapter 6 - (view spoiler)[ so far so good! I am really enjoying it. It's horrible to hear about what happened to her, but I like the fact that she is going to help other people. I did not really like the idea that some people are going to go to hell.

I know what you mean about the rape, he drugged her so she couldn't yell for help, the worst thing about reading it is knowing it happens in real life.

Bree- Ye at 17/18 she should know to put a seatbelt on herself without someone needing to tell her. I hate people who do not put on a seatbelt - front seat you go through windsheild, backseat you crush the person in front of you. I wonder if Bree's boyfriend will be the first person she helps, him or Ryan. (hide spoiler)]

Abi (view spoiler)[ I wonder what happened to her, to make her whole class stare at her, I also think she may turn out to be gay, not 100% on that, but it would another tough case since it wasn't something Piper had to deal with herself. (hide spoiler)]

Piper (view spoiler)[ Do you think she will turn out to be really gifted? Because from eveything they learned it seems they cannot force people to do anything yet Piper seems to have a lot of power. Also I wondered if she would get assigned to her dad. He cannot be in a good state after everything that happened. He must feel like he failed her. I hope she lets him know that it's not his fault.

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Emma. I thought I posted on here. LOL I have been SO busy with work that I guess I forgot. Today I was so overwhelmed at work that after work when I got in my car I broke down and cried. LOL Nothing really happened other than our Internet went down and we (teachers) have to keep signing up for these training classes and an email was sent out to sign up for our classes for our next in-service day and I had signed up for 4 which totaled 2.75 hours but I need 6 hours total. Then the Internet wouldn't let me back on. After work I tried and tried but they'd had us sign up for Guidebook (?) and it wouldn't let me on after the first page. LONG story...anyway yesterday I had a training class after my work day and I just came home a pretty much flopped. LOL

Sloan had already lost his entire family, and then the doctor called him to discuss test results. I think his results were bad or he was just too afraid to hear them.
