Yes, I think so. She's drawn like a magnet to him...and he to her. You just know immediately that things have just gotten complicated for both characters. Most especially, Argent as he is supposed to kill her. The emotional turmoil begins immediately.

Argent, as described, has a rather large presence and Millie was bound to sense him. I liked the coincidence.

Interestingly, this is technique that teachers are taught when lecturing to large groups. It is easier to focus on one face rather than many faces that can be disorienting.
I used to use this technique when giving presentations to groups that made me nervous. It works really, really well.

I must point out, however, that as a Pastor/Preacher, I did not single out anyone in the congregation to focus on during the sermon portion of worship services. That would have been self-defeating, to say the least! :-)
