Hi Brenda, the venue is enormous and big enough to cater for our group and not require us all to squish together. The service was immediate, prices were excellent and the food was great. Some members have previously expressed preferences for seating, menu choices and prices, so it is difficult to find a place that mean's everyone's needs etc. This venue was ideal until this little obstacle.

Thanks Tracey. It would be great if you could have a chat to them as I agree everything else about the place looks great.

Krystal (krystallee6363) | 2321 comments Definitely seems a bit strange that they want all those details! Does anyone ever know what they're going to order so far ahead in time?!

Tracey worst case scenario we just go to an ice-cream place right? XD

Hi Brenda, ..."

It's a shame about that stipulation then - they could lose business and as Krystal says, who knows what they want to eat so far in advance. And what happens if someone has to pull out? Do they still charge the organiser of the group with that amount as it's been ordered? Pretty dumb in my opinion :)

Elaine | 2001 comments Hellooooo Everyone, sorry I have really been MIA and haven't been on here very much at all but would love to reconnect with you all. Thanks so much Nat, Tracey, Mary and Brenda for keeping me in the loop and thinking of me and Diana for including me. I would love to come to the next meet up. I will try and be a bit more active on here now that I know this is happening. I am in fairly regular contact with Nat, Mary and Tracey and Tracey did contact me about the last meet up but I wasn't able to attend then but I am free this time. Really looking forward to seeing you all again and to meet some new "bookish" friends. Michael I do hope you can make it. I haven't seen you in so long. :)

Hi Brenda the girls, Nat and Tracey, have been great in keeping in touch, I'm the one that hasn't been able to attend the last few meet ups for various reasons. I also have been in touch with Mary but no one else in the group for a really long time so thank you so much for thinking of me and your kind words. I do love these meet ups and getting together with like minded people. I'm really not reading as much lately sadly for me but I do still love these get togethers so you're right about that. It's wonderful that they are still happening and people are still connected. :)

Natty (booknerdnatty) | 333 comments Jo wrote: "do we know where the venue is to be?"
Hey Jo, normally venue details are sent privately from those who have organised the meet to everyone attending normally few days either side around a week out from our meet date, so I would say expect the details in the next few days. :)

message 90: by Jo (new)

Jo Rushby | 238 comments thanks Nat. I thought that was the case.

Diana (secondhandrose) | 74 comments I am interstate at the moment at a stitching event and will PM venue details when I get back to Melbourne tomorrow. Thanks for your understanding.

Diana (secondhandrose) | 74 comments Messages of venue details going out now. I was delayed in NSW due to the flooding on the Central Coast! Rain, rain, rain every day but perfectly fine for a stitching weekend.
