The idea of putting this series on Netflix (or anywhere in the web) turns my stomach. It legitimizes the sick f**k, the perpetrator. What do you think is Netflix's rational, besides making a profit? I feel like cancelling my subscription in protest.

I have actually turned on the trailer but couldn't stand it after about 10 seconds. So I think it's real.

I hope money is not the (only) point. Not having seen it myself, I hope it is a sign that someone is taking animal cruelty seriously for a change. I did see a trailer with a guy commenting, "This guy is going to kill someone if we don't stop him!" When the point seems to be that he is already killing somebody and posting videos of it on the Net. The fact that the victims are kittens only means that they are even more helpless.

Now that I've seen it: It's a documentary, all real. I honestly think they handled it pretty sensitively. The part of the first kitten movie they showed, for instance, was the killer petting and reassuring the kittens. Then they cut to a scene of one of his pursuers tearfully describing what she saw happen next. Most of the story focused on the outrage directed at the kitten killer and they ways they found to track him down. It was pretty inspiring, how dedicated they were and how hard they worked to beard the killer in his lair. I had to shake my head when they interviewed the killer's mom and she derisively called them "those animal activists" and "stalkers."
