It's called a series according to the publisher. It's not a series like Goosebumps, say, or Twilight where it's a long story divided into parts.
But all the books are by the same authors, with a photographer and occasionally other illustrators contributing. They're meant to be regarded as a set, from what I understand - the larger set has smaller 'sub-series(es)' in it on various topics (3 books on Métis dance, 3 on Roogaroos, 3 on the Métis flag). They're all on the same topic, though - Métis culture.
How do you differentiate a series from an imprint? The link you gave isn't very clear to me in this case, since the books are supposed to be connected.
The listopia list is created. The early books in the series likely need their titles edited, though, to get rid of the series info (if not already done).
