Rashmi | 105 comments I'm expecting my first baby in 2020 and I'm not sure if I'm being ambitious by setting a goal of 20 books for the year...but here goes nothing.

Robin (katherineolsen) | 17 comments I don't have a lot of time to read, so i'll try to read 20 books. Hope I can make it!

Lisa Grønsund | 6163 comments hi Rashmi,
Firstly, congratulations! I can't help with the answer to whether or not it's an ambition goal. I guess it depends on things like how fast you read, how much you want to read, when you're due, etc.

I was expecting my son in June(also first baby) and decided not to set an goal at all, but just see what I read. still managed to read quite a bit :-)

Best of luck in 2020! Do you know if it's a boy or girl?

Rashmi | 105 comments Hi Lisa,
Thank you! We decided we want to be surprised.
It’s encouraging that you were still able to read a lot despite being a mom. I hope I can too. Best wishes to you too for the new year!

Rashmi | 105 comments I've signed up for the Clear the Shelves - 2020 challenge and my goal is to read 10 physical books among those that I already own. I am not allowed to read a book obtained after December 31, 2019 unless I have read at least 5 books I already own. It's the main reason I signed up for this challenge, as it'll prevent me from buying more books and encourage me to read the ones I already have. However, I will continue reading Kindle books.

1. Sole Survivor - Dean Koontz
2. The subtle art of not giving a f*ck
3. The Fellowship of the Ring
4. The Two Towers
5. The Return of the King

Catherine (catherinelouisee) | 1 comments Hi Rashmi, I just wanted to say congratulations! I don't think 20 books is ambitious when my little girl was a newborn I read constantly because I breast fed her and it was easy to read and feed! Good luck!

Fadi Kharoufeh (fadireads) | 67 comments Congrats on the addition to the family....
hope you can get reading when the baby is asleep....if he lets you...

message 17: by Rashmi (new)

Rashmi | 105 comments Thank you. I've only been able to read on my Kindle so far at night while the baby sleeps, so I really have made no progress on my target of physical books :(

With four more months left in the year, I don't want to give up yet.
