Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments Hello,

I've just uploaded a new cover for my kindle only novel

https://www.goodreads.com/book/edit/1...

but I don't have the authority to change the cover image on Goodreads to represent the book properly.

Would a kind roving librarian please wreak their magic for me?

Here's the Amazon page with the correct cover

http://www.amazon.com/Not-My-Name-Mar...

Many thanks

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments Hi Marc,

If no-one else has sorted it by the time I'm on lunch I will do it then. It will have to be added as an alternate cover, leaving the original there, and then after that I believe that you as the author can set which book is the default edition.

Will Once (willonce) | 3772 comments I fear my imagination was taking me into fifty shades territory. I had a sudden and compelling image of someone with an insatiable appetite for passion amongst the paperbacks.

Shhhhh!

Will Once (willonce) | 3772 comments Well, I was struggling to think of a situation where I might need a librarian. I don't use libraries myself as I can get all the books I need online. I don't have much experience of Goodreads librarians. You don't normally classify librarians as an emergency service. I can't imagine myself phoning 999 to say that I need help finding a book.

So I was trying to make a logical connection between the words "help", "need" and "librarian".

And ... um ...

Jay-me (Janet) | 3784 comments I have added the new cover edition now. :)

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments um the new cover image still isn't showing up for me to make it the default image - I assume it takes 24 hours?

I think that it sometimes does take a while.

If you go to the page https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/1...
In book details it shows other editions (1) Although it says "none found" if you click on the words other editions it should take you to a page showing both.

David Hadley I changed my covers in a couple of minutes using this method:

Marc Nash (sulci) | 4313 comments you need 2 editions, until the new cover shows up, I can't seem to make a second edition

As far as I remember all I did was create a new edition, uploaded a new cover into it (deleting the asin from the first edition and pasting it into the 2nd edition) then set the 2nd ed as the default.

Should take you to the page with the new cover

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 7935 comments Indeed he is, Davud and I have nothing in common, and he is the one usually seen fingering in amongst the dusty tomes. Personally I hold it all in until I get home ;~)

A bloke in the Midlands phoned 999 to ask what the non-emergency number was. (reported in today's papers)
