Are all comments in these threads linked to the book that the query is concerning? And, is it possible to have a thread removed?

If you see a book cover or title at the top of the page, the thread is about that book.

The person who created the thread can remove the attribution if they wish. Otherwise, threads are kept for future referral.

Books mentioned in a thread are also linked to the book page. On the Discuss This Book section, there are 2 tabs:

Topics About This Book
Topics That Mention This Book

That depends on if they were linked with the [book] links or more standard HTML.
