Thanks Vicki! I actually just started reading this today. Its very interesting so far! Just a heads up though, I will be doing most of my reading at night because I work during the day on the weekdays and than spend time with my kids until they go to bed around 8.

I live in New York. so Right now its 8:28pm. I'm on chapter 7 of the book though, found some time to read during my kids bath time :-)

Okay so we are 3 hours apart. It's almost 6:00 here.

So how are we going to be doing this? Are we reading the entire book than discussing it? Did you want me to hold up on reading until everyone is ready? I don't want to get too far ahead of anyone.

Matty, I believe we are the same person. I'm also a journalism major, but I'm on a break at the moment.

Jenny, it's up to you if you want to forge ahead or wait. I don't have my book yet and sometimes that happens. Ideally we all read approximately at the same time but that's not always realistic.

Since I don't have the book I can't see if we could break it down by chapters or pages per day. But each buddy read will be different in that regard. Some groups divvy it up by pages/sections/chapters; others read entirely at their own pace and discuss when they read.

I had to buy my book but I can start after I finish after I finish two books due back the 13th.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to start it yet. But unless I hate the book, I'll definitely continue and finish the series.

I think at least my partial goal for 2015 should be to finish my series books, or at least quite a few. I have so many unfinished ones.

I must say I have to agree. I have been pretty engrossed so far too. I was waiting in line at McDonalds to get my kids happy meals after their visitation today and I ended up picking up my kindle to read while I waited. The guy behind me had to honk at me to move because I got so into the book!!

Chapter 5 (view spoiler)[I like the beginning, it really keeps you in the dark and makes you want to know more. I don't really like Thomas, he's, I don't know how to describe it, but I don't like him. It's like he really wants to be a 'cool guy' or something. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 10 (view spoiler)[ So, everything is gonna change? How surprising. Okay, despite some things really are predictable I like this book. I still don't like Thomas, but Chuck is great! There's also a lot more information about the glade, but not everything's told yet. I like it that we know as much as Thomas knows, but sometimes it's also kind of annoying. (hide spoiler)]

(view spoiler)[ Yeah the more I read the more I dislike Thomas. I'm on Chapter 15 and I hate to say he doesn't get any better. He upsets me because he is so timid and kinda seems a wuss. I can't tell what kind of feel the author was going for because sometimes he grows a pair, but for the most part he just acts all scared and sort of spoiled. Chuck is great. I agree with that. Although a little on the odd side. I think so far though my favorite is Newt. (hide spoiler)]
